Love your videos! I have an aluminum bike frame with some aluminum pegs and brakes that were on the bike. It's all painted so I'm just curious what it would be classed as. The bake handles are most definitely cast as I can see the cast marks but what about the painted bike and pegs? Thanks!

Great information, thanks! What would you class an aluminum bike frame that's factory painted. It's thick aluminum
@TinManScrapper4 ай бұрын
It would still be in same category as sheet aluminum. Thanks for watching and the question.

Yup, last week of school! I remember when the screen was aluminum. Too bad given the amount of screen I find.

Yup, good test to see if stainless or aluminum, as aluminum won’t spark. Thanks and stay well.

Another great source for aluminum is patio furniture and lawn chairs. Don't those slip by

Yes, I agree.

Meanwhile... here... they are thinking of increasing jail time and fines for those yahoos "saving the planet" by dismantling the electrical grid, and pulling comm cables out of the ground, for the copper. More costs, and disruption... added onto the back of the average person... just so that some guy can score a case of beer, and some cigarettes.

I love aluminum as a material but one of its great benefits is a downside for scrappers: lightweight 🪶
@TinManScrapper6 ай бұрын
True, but I find heat sinks on circuit boards have some good weight and count as extrusion. Sheet aluminum is very light, but it too can add up over time.
