You will feel fantastic 1 year after quitting smoking. I cold turkey'd in 82.....NEVER had a puff since... I swore I would never pay 2.50 a pack... and I never did. You are doing it.
@rhysfirth35062 жыл бұрын
$2.50 a pack? USD I guess? Google says $2.50usd is $7.41 USD today. I was living in China 2011/2012 teaching English and smoking a pack a day of cheap 7 RMB ($1 USD a pack) Chinese cigs. Left China to Hong Kong, $55 HKD, (7.15 USD in 2012 google says) and home to NZ and packs were $25 NZD (21.25 USD in 2012). Once I finished the last of the Chinese cigs, I just never bought another pack. Cold turkey and not smoked since. There's some big price shocks just crossing borders!

Tinman, I don't know if you have tried tis yet, or if you are even going to try and repair the impulse line, but I have had success by taking 1/4" copper tubing and using any size die that will make threads on the tubing without cutting all the way through it, and then tapping the hole in the cylinder to match it. I then take JB Weld and thread the tubing in with it to lock it in place. You can take the brass nipple that was the original impulse nipple, and solder it inside the tubing. I have done this on carburetor base plates also that have had the vacuum line nipples broken off. Just a trick you might try when you are in a jam.

What is the difference between a fuel line and a impulse line? My 361. Only has a single fuel line .
@vintagesawyer62462 жыл бұрын
the impulse line provides the pulse to pump the diaphragm in the carb that pumps the fuel. Your saw gets its pulse through a port or hole in the carburator manifold flange which is connected to the crankcase.

Hello. I would hope you could help me with my chainsaw. I work on chainsaws but not to the extent that you do. I do general repair etc. to get saws back to original working. This saw that my neighbour brought me is a Husqvarna 66 and it will not start. Compression is 90 psi. I removed flywheel and the key was sheared(gone)And a chunk out of the crankshaft. I installed a new key and still no start. I’ve put gas directly in the cylinder no start I have put ether Quickstart not even a cough. I feel that the crankshaft is twisted. Is that possible? And if so what would be the proper advance timing and at what rpm. Hope to hear from you thanks in advance. Karl.

Couldn't you just plug the impulse hole in that jug I have done it many times with just too Short set screws tightened against each other also using permanent loctite. I mean you also could use J-B weld with tape on the inside but you would want to put a countersink lip on both ends and once full of JB weld use a heat gun or something to warm it up so that it flows into the holes really well the counterbore can we just ground in with a die grinder it is only to keep the J-B weld from blowing out or sucking in. Another way I have done it is tap the hole with a coarse thread tap then from the outside drill halfway through with a bigger drill then grind a couple slots in the counterbore of that for the J-B weld to grab ahold of that way it doesn't just spin back out. fill that hole with J-B weld tape on the inside and use the heat gun to make it flow well.
