I'm here to cry on behalf of Nigerians. Just coming back from shopping, things are really crazy and every time leaves you angrier than the last. I believe is is the worst case of inflation we've had in our country's history and I sought this video out because learning about Zimbabwe's hyperinflation in Econs, I was curious how people are surviving the current situation. I'm really glad it's not as bad as I thought it'll be.

Please do another with real local products and their prices like the food markets, not supermarket but the local grocery vendors and pricing… water, local butchery prices and etc. you can record some purchases to see how you actually pay for the goods and what your cash looks like to give a feel of the spend against our local currencies. Thanks for the good work ❤️ Nairobi Kenya a 2 bedroom house can be rented for around 93 USD +/-

Thank you for this video and your courage to record videos in supermarkets! I can say that some or maybe a lot of things are cheaper in my country and some are more expensive depends where are you buying them. Hofer, Lidl or Eurospin are a way cheaper here...then we have some other Supermarkets which are more expensive and they are more local...Especially energy drinks are a lot cheaper and dishwashing liquid. Do you have any real milk? Or real proper bread? At least in my country we mostly eat proper bread - baked one and not packed like toast and we have real milk - not powdered and usually you can get it fresh or UHT which is resistant outside out of the fridge...Thank you again! I love you! I am from Slovenia.

Its not bad. But the problem is its hard to make money in Zim. I am in UK can tell you prices not that different except for those lotions couldn't see but if my eyes were correct and that’s in US dollars then thats expensive. Cost of living has sky rocketed in the UK. Food and even rentals..... and salaries go up by less than 2 pounds per hour like once a year. Gvnt min wage rates that is. What i found interesting was the new development in Harare. Compared to the decaying roads in Matabeleland Now thats shocking. 2 separate countries in 1. Ooops...

The cost of living is going to rise in your country until such time no shops shall sell to ordinary customers in Zimbabwe until there is a regime change. Those that are in power as of now are busy enriching themselves, busy with power struggle changing politics into royalty. They pave way for their sons and daughters to take-over when they retire so that they remain protected and not face the consequences of their wrong doings. Respect, its everywhere.

What m seeing here are goods exported from South Africa. You haven’t talked to the common people who really are facing hardships on every level, but focussed on mansions being built by the diaspora Zimbabweans, or by the children of big government shots . Why don’t you go to the locations/townships where real life is. Quite a disappointing video. Please be real and represent those that live in the fringes of poverty. Someone can’t afford that 2usd mince meat.
@TinoSparks2 ай бұрын
thank you, if you watched the video and listened without judging, i mentioned i have made videos of the same kind in the past and i have done videos for a different class. so if this video doesn’t suit your liking, kindly find another cost of living video i made. respectfully not everyone is living below standard in zim and those people need representation as well.
@vanessagowora2 ай бұрын
Every country has imported products. Go to Mauritius a lot of its products are from France or India. Go to Dubai you will find products from china, India, USA and the uk. Why should Zim be any better? And if you remember many of our industries shut down because of the sanctions. It’s only recently our industries are coming up. Also as Tino says not everyone is living below the poverty line and if you were to go to most countries there are always poor people but that isn’t a reflection of the country. Why is it Zim people want to live in their negativity that everyone is suffering?
@G2learn2 ай бұрын
@@vanessagowora most of these guys are edicts to sympathy and its normal used to justify to whoever why they are in foreign land, good news from Zim leave such people depressed .
