Oh man, Tintin on the SNES was hell. Even on Easy, I could never reach past level 5. And even with passwords, the infamous Chorten stage... ...I finished The Smurfs on Hard, and was thoroughly destroyed by Tintin on Easy.

Being Belgian I'm offended that so many people think Tintin is a French character, only because he speaks the language I'd assume. Same goes with French fries but I digress.. :)

As a french it's really funny to see people talking about french =p (also the way you pronounce "Tintin" is so cute xD)

@CodeKiller19996 жыл бұрын

Wait, the GBC version has you pass right of all these chortens? I call bullshit on that. The SNES version had precipices to the right of each chorten. The very point of that scene in the books is that passing a chorten by the right is bad luck!
@vicarjose46816 жыл бұрын
Ah, I remember that. Played it on the official PC version (SNES port) which is even buggier. Didn't have much games on PC so I tortured myself with that (Spirou and Asterix & Obélix too). Before trying the emulated version, I only made it in all of those to the final level, and just that. One time I went right to one of these and somehow with a string of frame perfect jumps I could continue the platforming, but then at the end of the level, where that horizontal stretch would be, I somehow jumped way past the trigger and could continue past that. The level continued after that with lots of slopes next to each other I could jump between, and went on for like 30 seconds until there was a blue bar at the bottom that wasn't a bottomless pit but an insta-kill floor. I remember the level with the climbing, but it didn't have farting walls (rofl'd hard when seeing them here) had similar bugs with the very bottom and very top of the level, besides the rope glitches. Both had unique drawn backgrounds but you can't see them in normal gameplay unless you go really out of your way (the ice would make you fall down) and when you ignore the scarf and continue to the top the camera goes crazy. The games were beautiful, it's no longer they were million sellers in Europe. Pretty magazine screenshots sell.
