That was mighty labor intensive, man I was worn out by the time you got through with the job. "Mighty purdy work," that's how we say it in Texas. Hats of to you sir. I hung in there every step of the way and even backed up 15 seconds here and there probably 25 or so times. I need a nap now. :)

Great video, that was a little stressful with those defroster lines!

Wow! I expected much bigger fingers on that back glass. That black border must have made things much easier as well.

I'm gonna give ya a like on this video for your labor. I myself have been working on these old T/A's since when they were new, and I realize what a pain in the back side they are to work in that small back seat area. (big guy in a small car syndrome) Seems to get tougher as we get older too! Anyways, Good job. I'm ready for a donut break just watchin from the side line!

What did you do about the gap of light @1:01:12 near the bottom left along the defroster? Anyway thanks for the video not an easy window at any level. These are the cars they need to put in the tint-offs!

"It has a back window in it..." Rare in your neck of the woods is it? "I'm going to trim it, it's not going to be my last trim, but it will be my first .." I can't take it anymore... Best of luck to you.

Great job Ralph I Did one about 6 months ago Kind of a PITA I can't believe how many of those I tinted in the mid 80's, Anyway it was great to meet you at the International Window Film Conference in San Antonio always cool to meet other Tinters that have been around since the 80's.

Ralph - why did you choose to spray the outside instead of using your bar of soap method? AND when do you choose soap vs spray method? thanks
@FlexFilmPlus6 жыл бұрын
Chuck Ger I usually just shrink wet when the window is easy to shrink or small. Just quicker for me and saves a step.

does the steel wool damage the defroster at all?
@tacoconch76782 жыл бұрын
I've never had any issues with it. I wouldn't go any more coarse than 00 steel wool though. Steel wool is such a life saver when doing retints on back glasses as well. Helps with cleaning crusty old glue off. Just be sure to wipe trim edges with a cloth and air hose the glass and trim off before installing your film. You can't hide shiny steel wool hairs when they get under tint. lol

You've been Tinting how long? And on your own film still bite it to find the liner side?
@FlexFilmPlus8 жыл бұрын
I will learn how to peel the liner with my knife if you learn how to spell. "own" not "on" lol
@joejones34068 жыл бұрын
Ralph Van Pelt You misread what I typed. I wasn't implying you own your own film. I was implying you are biting ON film you own.
