The metre is defined as the distance that light travels in 1/299792458 seconds (in a vacuum). Originally it was something like 1/10 000 000 of the distance from the equator to the north pole, but that's not immutable.

Yeah thats the one, and the inch has been based on the metric system for over 50 years now and defined as exactly 25.4 mm.

THe atom thing I was alluding to was probably the definition of a second now being based on the frequency of caesium

19:28 the triple alliance is the Aztec Empire in case you didn't know amd the league of Mayapan was a defencive alliance of Mayan cities(and the closest thing to a unified Maya country we ever got), makes you wonder if they are going to be like the HRE and have you become the tag after you "reform" them

Something I hope they add is some ability to represent countries where the parliament is the highest authority in the country and situations where parliament controls certain things, like taxes.

Isn’t that more a vicky 3 thing though? Not that inwould mind if it is included, i just feel it might be out of their intended scope
@georgecatton17 сағат бұрын
@zimtwiers9726 possibly, but it was a major issue during the games timespan in many countries, and it would be strange not to represent a major cause of the English civil war or the issues the french kings faced getting their laws implemented

17:00 I'm pretty sure the devs said that all "three Americas" are one continent in the game, but I get what you said about different classifications for continets, like people not knowing that Oceania is a continent in some countries

Currently working on a map, and possibly in the future, on a simulator focused around the French provinces of Aunis, Saintonge. I totally agree with you about vegetation, it would be such a pleasure to be able to change it. Also, I would put wetlands as a type of hydrography, along rivers, estuary, lake... and not in terrain type / topography, which doesn't really make sense (I'm quite certain Paradox Tinto did that to pair wetlands with woods on several locations, so that it can represent swamps, or with no forest, so that it represent marshes). Keep up the good work!

kind of related to the topic: I hope internal gameplay will be fun. It seems to be a stronger point in EU 5 for sure. in EU 4, I just had a 15-year war "break" to fix my country with bankruptcy. Ignoring the fact that it might have been a wrong decision, doing no war for 15 years feels weird. I hope in EU5 it will not be the case that you think, "I had no war for too long," but rather, "Do I really want more stuff to handle now?"

8:20 Maybe... Maybe they are thinking about announcing a release date
@theotakukaiser789212 сағат бұрын
I think they need to actually announce the game before they can do the date (besides the year)

I mean actually if you follow the most strict definition of "a continent" then we have like 4. Americas, afroeuroasia, australia and antarctica. It's pretty simple
@Lord_Lambert6 сағат бұрын
The point is there is no strict definition of a continent. It's made up. It isn't based on anything tangible and immutable. The simple thing is the term "continent" is far more a political term than it is geographic.

According to Google Gemini the Sjem was the main internal factor to the decline of Poland just before the partition.
