PPF class front bumper. think ahead to get a perfect install

I've been installing Paint Protection Film (PPF) for dealerships as a freelancer for the past 8 years. Like anything else, the more you do it, the better you get. Installing PPF is a bit like solving a wet puzzle, but don’t be intimidated. Practice on your own car or a friend’s, and you'll get the hang of it quickly. At the end of the day, whether you’re into tinting, wrapping, or any kind of film installation, it's all the same-you're just putting another sticker on a car.

Installing PPF is no joke. Whenever I tell people I tint windows for living, their natural question is if I do, or looked into, PPF. I say not for now, I am more accustomed to tinting car windows. And honestly there's more money and arguably less work in commercial and residential window tint. After watching how to install PPF, I'm sure I can learn it in time, but I'd rather stick to what I know and have been doing for years.

My wife bought a new car and we were gonna get PPF installed till I came across Icon Roclear. Which has the same benefits of PPF self healing tougher than ceramic. We went on a vacation and on the way back drove through a sand storm in Arizona and when we got back the whole car had sand all over it. After a touch less wash the car came out shiny like the day we picked it up at the dealership.

It’s trash, my front bumper has ppf, I installed accessory front spoilers on the bumper and decided to go with icon roclear. The first year it was great not so great after the first year. It’s starting to peel off and rocks are getting to the paint.

Definitely a cheap ppf install. Anything plotted short is cheap. Every cut will be short. Pay the extra for as much coverage as possible.

Most of the time its the best way to go if you're wrapping daily drivers as the costumer most likely wont want to pay for a bulk install. unless you are removing the bumper a bulk install will yield similar results to a kit anyways.

Precut PPF ensures proper coverage and minimizes the risk of future issues. Not everything needs to be bulk installed, as that can lead to problems like poor fit, cut marks, and shrinkage. The only areas that typically require bulk installation are the hood and roof. Using precut PPF also avoids the need to remove trim, which can be a hassle. While knifeless tape helps, it has its limits-proper coverage is the goal.
