i own and operate a tint and ppf shop, have been doing it for roughly 10 years. we are one of xpel’s biggest accounts. I love watching diy, professional videos. I loved your video! for a diy, i’m highly impressed. I can do this bumper start to finish in 30 mins mind you. this isn’t an “easy bumper” for beginners by any means. if you’re going to do more, and ever want any tips and tricks i’d love to help. great job man. great explaining through the whole process.

Nice, I like how you showed the problem at the end and how you fixed it. Well done, especially for a diy job.

Did all the marks on the surface heal from heat? Looks like you didn’t use a slip with the surface as it was squeegeed… I am considering getting a gel, but I am wondering if you were able to get rid of the marks
@GarageKing3 ай бұрын
Yup they all came out, and there was enough gel to provide slip on the top, when you squeegee it out, you just keep the squeegee lubricated with the gel. I love the gel. Here is another one where I used the Gel kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnmyooCMm9umiqM The Gel makes it quite easy to instal.

@@GarageKing I am debating on using gel vs traditional, I suppose I can use both, or mix a little gel into my slip….
@GarageKing3 ай бұрын
@@87adamrg I'm not sure if you can mix them, maybe but I'm not sure. With the slip solution the only thing is you have to make sure you don't get soap bubbles. With the gel you don't have that problem
@jairosilva72066 ай бұрын
Hey great video, I have a question though. If I buy the gel solution then I don’t need the tak solution right? So it’s 2 in 1? Slip and take solution in 1?
@GarageKing6 ай бұрын
Yes that's correct, and thats the main reason I got it, I'm an amateur at this, so I wanted to make it as easy as possible. Once you squeeze out all the gel it pretty much becomes a tack, so if you want a corner tacked down just squeegee all the gel out of that corner. BUT tack solution does actually work better, but the Gel does a good job. I do mix a little tack solution, but I find I rarely need it. The other thing with the gel is you don't get soap bubbles, and you don't have to keep spraying it. This video is I think from last year and the PPF still looks great, no issues at all.
