I tried tinting multiple times, and I messed up a couple of times. Lol The hardest part to me was trying to position the tint correctly before it starts to stick to the window. Also I tried to measure the tint to the window and realized the dimensions were different on the outside of curved glass then the inside. The other hard part was cutting the tint accurately so that it doesn't overlap and you realize that after you start squeegeeing it. Thats when you get tons of bubbles and worst of all have to remove the tint and start again. At that point the tint is now damaged and you need another new one. I never heat shrinked the window before. So im guessing that could've been a big factor in the tint overlapping the edges.

Straightforward, detailed video. Had to look up a few terms, but excellent video. It’ll take me a few tries, but confident I can perform a good tint job armed with this tut. Mind boggling how many people comment on the amount of water used and their own confusion regarding the complexity of the task. The guy is clearly a pro, and the amount of water used is shown to yield what appears to be a high-quality result. I agree with the guy who said just use less water if you think it’s too much. So many comments remind me of the distracting class clowns who made stupid comments during class in high school for a laugh. Just forces those of us looking for insightful comments to scroll forever, as we wade through people showing off their empty heads. I will now go back to never reading or making comments for that exact reason. Thank you for the excellent video. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Nothing stopping you from tinting again the next day. A close neighboring state of mine is a $50 fine and you keep your tints. Again only if you happen to get stopped. It's funny because I'm currently working at that shop he's at in this video right now. I work with his brothers and they've taught me alot about tint. We sometimes watch his live streams while we're tinting too.

"Precut" film are you kidding me, 😄😅😂🤣, All these folks that say "Take it to a "PROFESSIONAL" (I "LOVE" the fact he used "LUMAR" and Why, #1 Take it to a "Professional" one of my 1st jobs Was with Stylin' Customs I used to always think The name sounds like a "Hair" salon #2 I got that job as a Tinter/Installer, Hey being a "Kid" Everything I did "SUCKED" mainly given the "Knowledge" of what I was "Taught" and most DIYers as Kids and even Full Blown "ADULTS" Their "Installs" are just "I don't care what it looks like, Electrical tape works fine, and it's "Cheaper" Then a kids gets a job working with "Professionals" man who would of thought Back then as far as "Installs" go, I had no idea what a "Butt Connector" was or a "Crimp" Cap, even "Shrink" warp or "Zip" Ties, and I learned what "Hard Wiring" was But "LUMAR" and "Precut" Tint, After a few years "Stylin' Customs" moved up and got this Machine everybody "DROOLED" over, No Longer have to manually cut the Tint, The Machine does all the work for ya, All that being "Said" Stylin' Customs was who I went to as a Kid to Have then install 3 Rockford Fosgate DVC 12s Flush Mounted behind my The seat of my Standard Cab Nissan, They also Tinted my Windows, It was my 1st year Slammin & Jammin back in 99 with "Addictive Trendz" how did it all Turn out, "Simple" I met this Beautiful Young Amanda Jade Denton @ Smart Style who Gave me her card and a "You don't comeback for me I am your Loss" Being "Jaded" I knew a Sweet Beautiful Young girl wasn't "Interested" in me, But hey I came back with a "Show" Slammin' & Jammin' and for those that don't know Read the 2013 July BadaBing! Mini Truckin O.G Throwback article, "TURNS" out Jade Denton got a Restraining Order in 2014 stateing "He shows obsession with Jade Flames and Jade Wheels that is Concerning, and I feel for my Safety with someone having a Criminal History watching over me" The Joke of the Year back in 2015 The Return of a Legend Slammin' & Jammin' My Truck shows an "ADDICTIVE TRENDZ", I must of been relapsing, But by God BadaBing! "Paint so Clean I count my freckles" and it's 2BrewDent4U one thing competing with Team Fosgate, I like being a "Fanatic" showing something with a "PUNCH" now that's an "Impressive" criminal history almost as "Impressive" as LUMAR Film lol, Scratch resistance, No Turning Purple that back when I was 16 and wanted purple tint to match my Nissan I got the "You don't want purple tint, That's what color bad tint turns to" by "Professionals" of course not now brother n law had just moved from Minnesota back when I was 16 his 1st job at Stylin' Customs was my Flush mount system that him being "Wired" with his "Professional" expertise of 3 DVC 12s will not fit behind the Seat of a Nissan hard body ,Just not enough air space, Now from a "Custom" stand point what Won't fit , Then like everything else I learn SPL "Sound" quality and guess what Those 3 DVCs looked so perfect flush Mounted behind my seat Lol, and not enough air space that explains when you open the doors it went from hearing my system 10 miles away that folks 50 miles away thought it was an earthquake shakeing and rattleing their picture frames, But I looked this how to video up, Well hey Tech has came along way I most impressed with the fact he actually named his brand of tint in the How To, and what type of brand he was using, Do you guys really think "Professionals" start out being "Professional" or is learning curves for beginners lol?

@wingnutrocks16974 жыл бұрын
Worth repeating the same reply I made to someone with a similar lament: Window tint installation is easy for him because he has a passion for the ART of tint window installation--and that passion was the catalyst he used to hone his skill ( a LOT of work hours, time and likely his own money invested in this stage of things ); in effect, he took out the "hard" of the hard work and made his job fun to do.

Yep. I'm about 2 hours in to trying this and nothing is behaving the way it did in the video. I've done so much work on cars in my life and this is the hardest and most frustrating job I've ever tried. I bought all this tint years ago, so I feel like I might as well keep trying to see if I can end up with a passable job. So far, there's zero chance of that happening.

The people that are complaining about that alot of water is falling inside the door. There are rubber strips between door panels that presses against the window. Witch prevents water running down inside of a vehicle door. Take a look at your on car you will see what iam talking bout.
@MXALOVE4 жыл бұрын
Might as well just run the car through an active car wash with the door open, makes the process much easier to keep it *wet*
@stephaniesommers4075 жыл бұрын
Ha! why do I do this shit myself, just went through 10 feet of $35 tint to do one side window, looks great though. Now I am out of tint. For the other door, the damn door panel is coming off. Hell I could remove the widow bring it in the house tint it with zero headaches and have it all back together in less time and wasted tint. This is a real skill, I give a lot of credit to you guys that can do such a good job so quickly. I have done it 3 times in 3 decades and it always a shit show getting perfect results.

And the amount of transit vans with common rail diesel pump failed..... WOW. Get them for about the same price. Big ones you can stand up in and they're just worthless.
