Just a suggestion: put the ice shaved first in the glass or bowl, halo halo mix, sugar ( optional, because the mix is already sweet), milk, more shaved ice, some toppings and ice cream..mix them well . Enjoy.❤😅

A word of caution concerning my suggestion about marigolds: they won't help much against squash bugs. Those things are tough. The marigolds will help some, but you'll probably need to pick those off by hand to protect your squash and especially your zucchini (they LOVE zucchini). Other things that can help: snakes (the right kind), lizards (like geckos), frogs/toads, insecticidal soap (available in most gardening shops), praying mantis, etc. Ladybugs are great because they eat aphids. Don't get rid of spiders because they eat harmful bugs. To protect against hail: row covers. They're pretty easy to put together once you get the hang of them. They can also protect against late frost in Spring and early frost in Autumn. Something else that's good to grow in a container on your deck: blueberries. Most of my experience in gardening comes from being in charge of my elementary school's garden. I got a grant for most of it, but I bought 4 blueberry bushes with my own money. We had tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, yellow squash, eggplant, and dill. And, of course, the blueberries. There was supposed to be a committee made up of other teachers to help me, but I got no help. So I did all the weeding and watering alone. Local folks from the neighborhood came to the garden and took some of our veggies and blueberries without permission. However, they probably got a stomach ache from the blueberries because while they looked ripe when they were stolen, they weren't quite ripe yet. My uncle had a garden in his backyard, and he had peppers like you. I remember him going out, picking a few, giving them a quick wash, and munching on them as a snack.

Pwedi ring gumamit ng half and half na frozen milk instead of shaved ice. Ang kagandahan ng frozen na half and half milk hindi sya masyadong matigas kaya di mo na kailangan ng ice shaver. Here is how I make my halo-halo. Pour a gallon of half and half milk in a pan or mixing bowl about 2 inches high para madaling basagin kapag frozen na sya. Add all your halo-halo ingredients. Stir to mix them all. Put in the freezer overnight to froze. The following day, enjoy your halo-halo.
