Tiny Bike Tour

Announcement of this years for Combat Stress, I will be riding my Honda Chaly clone around the entire U.k mainland. All 3,748 miles of it.
This could possibly be the worst choice of vehicle for a long distance tour but it wouldn't be a challenge on a GS.

300 miles a day is gonnae be a HUGE ask on some of our roads here in Scotland. It will take you about an hour to do the 18 miles from Lochinver to Achiltibuie! Give me a shout if you need any help in Scotland.

@@Nobby77 there's a honesty box camping set up at Kinloch Hourn and there's a B&B but like all B&Bs here you'll need to book well in advance. You can camp at the pub at Glenelg for free as long as you eat in the pub.

You’ll love it, there’s nothing like riding slowly through the scenery on something like this, I do the same on a Honda 125 Cub. PS, 300 miles a day is doable, but it will need discipline, and not too much stopping. If you can average 35 mph you’ll be doing well theres a back garden with your name on it near Torcross in Devon if that helps. I don’t do social media but I’ll try and find a way of making contact.

That little 'bike may have been 'Born to be Mild' ... but the promo for your expedition is already a tour de force. The actual trip and the record of it threatens to be an absolute cinematic epic. As I live about as far inland as you can get in the UK, I shall express my appreciation for the entertainment to come in the usual moth releasing fashion ... Take care, and loads of ointment. That much wear and tear to the gooch, biffin and hoop could turn out like a bit of non-surgical, DIY, reassignment. If I can keep track of your progress I may just try to stalk your route as you pass by Skegness (closest coastal resort to me I think ) and give a wave as you rocket by . I shall also do that sharing thing of which you speak.

I have a skyteam skymax honda dax replica and going to try camping from it at some point. Good luck with the challenge. I think 300miles/day might be a bit optimistic though with the extra weight you'll be carrying though.

Check the oil level every day and change the oil every 1000 miles. You will be suprised what can be achieved on a small bike, a chap called Nathan Millward rode a 110cc Honda postie bike all the way from Brisbane to Australia, then he rode the same bike across America from the East coast right up into the far North west of Alaska. He is still riding that bike on trips around Devon. I think the bike has had one top end rebuild....
