So yeah, there's a kill trigger in front of the bus (imagine the bus is coming at you, if it hits you from the front you get killed), except the bus is not very good at moving here. The trigger is probably slightly higher than the bus itself (which is why people die when they stand on top of the bus and slightly to the front end).
