0:57 that's so real: tank crews laugh about our Wiesel till we hide behind a bush or rock and surprise them. Or they got killed being a big fat ugly target 🤣 I just had these situations with the Wiesel at JRTC/ Fort Polk already in the 1990s

But this only works if you are not capable of combined tactics. Artillery will give the Wiesel wit TOW a hard time and surpresses them at least. But you are right I was Artillery Liaison to Armoured Leopard Bns and these stupid guys always r´think they can handle the Wiesels alone and are always punished for their ignorance.

Es gab mal eine Übung in Deutschland,gegen Französiche Panzer.Wo Wiesel die Panzer angegriffen hatten. Nach kurzer Zeit,musten die Schiedsrichter die hälfte der Wiesel,als zerstört rausnehmen.Nicht weil sie zerstört waren.Sondern weil die Franzosen mit den Abbruch der Übung gedroht hatten.Sie hatten die Schnauze voll,das ein Panzer nach den anderen,durch die Wiesel zerstört wurden.Ohne das sie was dagegen machen konnten.

This little tank basically confirms a theory I had, that smaller tanks with TOW missiles are more effective than traditional tanks. Though, my idea was to place TOW missiles tubes on the sides of a main turret that uses a 20mm autocannon, has a top-mounted automatic shotgun, and be solo manned. Its niche would be urban or forested environments, able to get serious firepower in tight spaces. It's armor would only be able to withstand 50 caliber, but the idea is that the tank would be fighting sneaky, so that it doesn't need extra armor.

You need a cannon to take out troops in buildings and fortified positions. Cannons are the most efficient heavy weaponry there is, and they have more jobs than just killing other tanks. What you're suggesting is just an IFV that can't carry infantry.
