It's a big day on The Runaway Ranch! Our tiny cabin is being delivered to our 32 acre off grid Tennessee homestead. The police follow the delivery truck to our property which makes things go not according to plan....Let the projects begin!

I delivered all four of my children without a doctor or a midwife and I never asked permission! Everyone tried to convince me that I didn’t have a right to do that, and that if things went wrong, I would surely go to prison, but I trusted God and not the government and it worked out so well we decided to homeschool! Now my kids are all grown and are doing exceptionally well compared to what the average is, I call them all wealthy! They all picked up on my work ethics and they all Love the Lord!

Well done you, I wish I had come to the truth so I could have done the same with my children. But I woke up in 2004 my children were already jabbed and gone through indoctrination by then. But better late than never.

But, do they have gender confusion, talking about all sorts of non-binary gender roles? If not you're a terrible person that raised them all wrong.

Secret poison ivy death wheel alerted to it too but if I get it on me. I know that if I take dawn soap just wash and soap and wash it off immediately, I keep it with me and just rub it on me. It kills the oils and you can wash them off and not have any problem. I've found that I've never even got it because of dawn soap.

Good luck, and I hope you can keep it. A lot of people are being kicked off their property even in Tennessee. Just the other day some off-grid people were kicked off their property for not meeting the codes and nearby townspeople gave them a hard time. Posting on KZbin makes it hard to hide what you are doing and not everyone will be supportive of you guys. Freedom is dying.

How you solve this? When you BUY or inherit property...get it in a LAND PATENT... NO property TAXES and the government can NOT put a LIEN on it either. Simple to do. Doesn't take a fake attorney either.

I also live in Tennessee. I also bought a tiny house. And let me tell you, the first thing you're gonna want to do is insulate. I used rock wool. And do yourself a big favor and insulate your floor. I haven't done that yet. And it's bloody cold in the wintertime. I wish you lots to luck with your cabin. Mine is a 12 by 28, and I love it.😊

LOL, gezz do you get out much? The police officer did them a favor and no they could not make him leave because of the hot pursuit law states that as long as an officer is in pursuit of a suspect and does not loose sight of them they can follow them anywhere to get them in custody or investigate a crime.

Suggestion for alge control, remove the IBC totes from the cages. Rough sand them, then paint them & return to the cages. If you don't sand them, paint will not stick for very long & will start flaking off. This is coming from experience. Good luck in your new adventure.
@RunawayMattCass

Yes thanks so much for the knowledge! We actually bought covers for them so we shouldn't have an alge problem. They were kinda pricey though so next time we might just paint lol. Thanks for watching, hope you stick around for the journey.

i would rip that back wall off and put a slide door, the view from the backside is actually better then the front, and you get more light, problem is winter also the foundation is a no no, when it going to rain, the house is going to sink, might even slide all the way down the slope I would had bought few bags on concrete and made concrete posts with some rebar, before placing this, its no that hard the way its placed, if your planing to be there long time, you need to rethink what your doing. just my 2c
@RunawayMattCass
@RunawayMattCass 10 ай бұрын
Making adjustments to the back wall would cut into usable space which is needed to make the 288 sq foot space fully functional. The view is actually best from the right side of the cabin as it's where the sun sets and has ridge views. That is where we plan to build an entire outdoor space. In regards to the installation, it is sitting on 16 separate platforms and our dirt there is very firm and well draining - it's the highest point of the entire property (the delivery day you saw was after constant rain for a full week) Ultimately, this was leveled with a high-lift jack and blocks so if we need to make adjustments, we'll be able to do it ourselves and we will keep an eye on things. We can still add cemented posts at the back end if we decide they are needed by getting the post as close to the platform as we can, high jacking a few inches, filling the space (block or wood) and then lowering.

I just plumed A 16X32 shed much like yours for a customer 2 months ago. Water supply lines for sinks, shower, toilet, water heater, washer and 2 outside faucets, all drain lines (some grey and some black water). Black to the septic and grey to the back 40 french drain/rock bed. I watched the electrical panel go in and all lighting, receptacles inside and out. Make sure you understand/follow all state and local codes and pull all required permits. The County Mounty having already been there may pose a future problem (even if it wasn't you he was investigating, it was you he was investigating). Good Luck and May God Bless

I saw the TN Highway Patrol and was like "Someone getting their rig inspected." It was really cool of him to allow it to be delivered because if the driver had any big issues with the truck or trailer, it would have been towed off. That cabin would be sitting in an impound lot to this day.

American living in Japan. I enjoy watching homesteading videos. Hope to have my own similar property here in Japan someday. My first recommendation would be get some chickens to help fertilize the ground. You can find lots of homesteaders who use a movable house/pen that allows you to move the chickens every few days. This way they are eating the unwanted foliage and fertilizing at the same time. Plus you get free eggs! Someone already mentioned water catchment. It’s great you’ve got a tin roof. It the best for catching rainwater. You’re lucky to have so much fresh water on your property but if you want to be truly off grid with water, I’d look into a water catchment system and French drains for sewage. You can learn a lot from the Earthship water catchment system design. This type of system can allow you to remain completely off grid if your county permits that sort of thing. Looking forward to watching your homestead grow!
