I'm nearly 70 years old living in Southwest Missouri and we have ridiculous BS building codes here for sure. It's probably not the best thing you could do but if it was me it would piss me off so bad that I would go about my business making everything public as possible and live in it and just let them try to put me in jail and let the whole thing escalate and just see how far they want to go with their BS crap. But other than that as I was doing that I would go ahead and anchor the building make it immovable stuff like that. Let them make asses out of themselves in the public eye. 1. Anytime you are looking to purchase property to build a home, you should contact the county clerks office and verify your plans to build, if your plans are permitted and legal in that county. Even in counties that don't have permitted requirements or require blue prints to be approved, you can still get them reviewed by the clerks office for approval. 2. Have blue prints approved by county. If the building blue prints are approved and you have the proper permits as long as you follow the blue prints to a T. You have the legal right to keep the property. If you get that county stamp on the blue prints they cannot take your property, have you rebuild, deconstruct, etc. 3. Nowadays the dangers of building anything is imminent domain. States/cities/counties/etc has been abusing imminent domain rights to seize properties so they can sell it to corporations.
