I like the oil lamp on the kitchen cabinet. I have 2 oil lamps which were my grandparents. Both were previously owned by my grandmothers mother. They are quite old probably from the early to mid 1800’s. I light one or the other each morning while having coffee with my wife. We will both be 75 soon.

It’s a nice daily habit. We feel it is a small way in which to honor them both. The land we live on was once farmed by them. They sold it to me the same year I graduated from college 1972. It’s not the home place but I spent a great of time here. I told my grandparents when I was 12 years old I hoped to buy some day. What gift they passed on. I hoping to do the same. Enjoy your little place in what appears to be heaven.

Hey there... really enjoying your videos! Who gets credit for overall cabin layout, design, architectural elements, and color selections? Amazing choices! Are either of you architects or professional designers? Your cabin has an air of understated minimalist elegance and sophistication. Nice touch placing the "front door" on the backside of the cabin leaving the glorious wooded view! Do you plan to move vehicle parking out of sight of your downhill view? Curious... what are the dimensions of the cabin, including front and back wall heights? How much land is it on? I may have missed this info if it was in an earlier video. Overall... 5 stars!!!

Thank you!! Such a nice comment! We are literally doing a Q&A in the next few days that should answer all your questions 😊. Love the questions and we will absolutely include them in the chat we do. I "Josh" did all the design work. Kaila would take credit for the color selection. We definitely have parking further down out of site but we haul materials in at the moment so it's nice to have the truck close! We will also be doing a full step by step cost/build break down early in the year as I get that question frequently. The whole KZbin thing is very new to us and we did not think we would be getting so much interest. We appreciate you and everyone watching and will try our best to answer all questions we get 😊.
