The only difference is chinchillas use dust and hamsters use sand. Dust baths would irritate a hamsters upper respiratory system. Also ☝🏼 I agree… the hamster booty was too adorable! 🥰

Actually, only one hamster can safely live in a habitat, and this is a decent size inclosure for (what I’m assuming is) a dwarf hamster.💕

This is delightful! Thanks for posting! I am so curious what the maintenance is for this set up? Do you do just surface level cleaning and leave the borrows intact until a total new cage set up? Like, how often do you have to do regular cleanings and how often do you change out the whole thing for fresh bedding? I would consider a set up like this but wondering if it gets smelly? Thanks for the video - definitely made me smile!! 😃

Lotus is soooo cute!!! What breed of hamster is she. Also how do you get your sprays to stand up. 😊

He's a winter white dwarf (hybridised) and his colouring is called sapphire. For the sprays there are a few different ways they are kept upright, for some there are small holes drilled into the shelves below that they poke into, the ones in the garden area are all standing in a pot of tightly compact soil, some are held up using DIY spray holders (which act like vases) and the rest are just shoved straight into the burrowing substrate 😊
