The company was sending customers fake invoices too. So it's not just people giving them money, they had invoices. I agree though, these people also should have known better than to pay any upfront. A builder should have capital to start any work. This company straight up used the money for themselves based on their own property updates. An LLC will not protect them from fraud charges.
