In fields where wildflowers kiss the sky, Lives tiny Nigel, with a coat freshly shorn, A little horse with a giant glint of mischief and distain in his eye, Trotting away lighter, since the winter coat’s long gone. His kitty cat barn sister named Tiny, hovers over him like a small, but mighty bodyguard, With playful headbutts, she greets him each morn, Together with all their siblings, under Clever Girl's TLC, Their antics a dance, beautifully adorned. From Montana's plains to many continents afar, Clever Girl's voice bridges vast distances with grace, Connecting tales of four-legged friends that enter our lives and daily thoughts, Each story a thread in the tapestry she shares. Wow! Little Nigel has in indeed become " huge " with us all. When you're small and male both, it can be quite a challenge. Imagine his feelings when having to deal with others larger than him. He shows us he has courage, spirit, pride, and just wants to be acknowledged. He does love you Clever Cowgirl, just he can't show you right now. Sometimes matters of the heart are easier if left disguised, especially in his world where everything is a challenge to his character. Your love, your kindness, your patience, and extraordinary awareness of his health issues are such a blessing to this little guy. You and Nigel have truly captured my heart and so many others watching. I think we can say we learned from Nigel's reactions , that he definitely is telling the world, " I may be small, but I still will have the last decision. " That is BIG!

Rewatching this, I must say those new clippers are da bomb. Do not throw away the dull blades. Contact the manufacturer to ask about sharpening. Ask about local sharpening services at the local livestock products retailers. It's a lot cheaper than new blades.

Dog groomers usually have a guy who sharpens their blades! Check with sheep shearers too, they go through a lot of blades as well.

I groom my standard poodles and came across a slipper blade cooling trick. The spray you are using now works but not for long. Get yourself a chinchilla cooling pad. It works so great and not very costly. I have 3 of each size blade so there is always a cool blade ready for use.

Our little mini got colic tonight, we have been up all night, he is over 30, and the spunkiest little dude you will ever meet, he loves horses, always the boss, he loves his humans more, he taught all my children to ride, my eldest is about to turn 21, he isn’t an animal, he is apart of the family, a brother, a son a grandchild, a nephew…. He is holding on atm, but never take for granted the things you have, because like a blink of the eye the could be gone x

I love watching your videos. Sometimes I have to take a break. My emotions get high in the winter. I miss my husband and his horses so much. It's 12 years this year. I also miss all the smells. I still have his roping saddle. I need to clean it again just from it sitting and getting dusty and dry from the heat. I keep it in the house. Lol. People think im strange keeping a big saddle in my living room and not a horse in sight and with my old bone situation I can only ride very gentle horses. I don't live very close to anywhere to ride too so it's not often I get to ride. I live in the country in TN. When young I really tried to get my husband to move to Montana. Now that the cold is so hard on me Im glad Im still in the south. But I've always thought it is so beautiful there. You have the perfect spot with your view of the mountains. I'm so glad I found your channel. Nigel is my favorite. He reminds me of a pony my husband rehabed and gave to our oldest granddaughter when she was three. The two oldest grands are the only two who got to spend lots of time with their PopPop and the horses. There's a picture of Brook when she was 2 leading Lucy across the field. Nigel is beautiful trotting about with his mane and tail floating in the breeze he creates. Isè he feel free and rid if the coat that for him might br like us shedding our five pound winter coat because it is over warm. We might feel "exposed" without our convient cover up that could hide our true shape. When my snow packs were traded for learger hiking boots in spring my total weight loss of winter gear was about 15 lbs. My feet felt light and springy. Freedom. I imagine Nigel experienced something similar. Joy and like a man with a newly shaved winter beard gone. Too cute he is. Did you ever think he has not ever been fussed over like tgis his entire life? 😊🎉❤🎉😂 life is better for this little horse. He knows it too. Great job CC!🎉

New sub here luv your videos. I am learning alot from you on horses. My neighbor has two horses I am slowly training with your helpful hints. Peanut is a lot like Nigel but I am getting him to come around slowly to me and Charlie is a big teddy bear alot like your Frisco bill. Slowly getting them both use to good feed and vitamins and man are their coats looking awesome and I got the detangler for their manes watch they loved me putting on them slowly but my issue is the flies either of them like spray bottles so I don't know what it do.

I loved the crazy hair and blue tinged tail LOL! I also don't think 'hate' is the right word. Nigel is a stallion which makes him willful and he just prefers to do as he pleases. This situation is more like a woman trying to drag a man along when going purse shopping, he just doesn't want to do all that unpleasant crap. If she had him do things he super loves 10 times in a row on the next 10 catches, I bet he'd come faster the 11th time, part of it is the unpleasant activities of the last few times are fresh in his mind, he's basically saying no, don't wanna go 'purse shopping!' Also he likes his corral so he doesn't want to risk getting put in that boring old stall, he'd rather freeze do death instead LOL! Unfortunately if she has to be careful with his diet, she can't just bribe him with some carrots a lot either. I wonder if he likes walks, she might be able to reward him with those instead. It's harder if you can't find anything that can be used as a bribe. If he doesn't expect to get anything super fun out of it, then he has no reason to let her grab him.
