Nice job! Some important questions: How did you attach the subfloor to the trailer? Only nails holding the walls down to the floor? No bolts? It’s a structure that’s supposed to travel.

Excellent video and your skills with waterproofing are really great. I've seen homeowners argue with roofers and especially with vinyl siding installers about how to waterproof around doors and windows. I haven't seen the peel and stick material on the job before. I've read about it and it was really great to see it being used. Again great video.

@TinyHomeBuilders Жыл бұрын
Certain places are more likely to have leaks, windows and doors being one of them. So you need some extra layers of protection there. So we use a flexible flashing in these locations.

What is "house wrap" for? Is that really thin insulation??
@TinyHomeBuilders Жыл бұрын
It's to keep water from entering your walls (it's the last layer of defense behind the siding, trim, any flexible flashing, metal flashing, etc), but it still lets vapor escape (so water doesn't get trapped in the walls).

Are tiny houses expensive
@TinyHomeBuilders2 жыл бұрын
They range in price, but are a lot cheaper if you build it yourself. This house cost about $15K to build, but would have likely cost $35K to have built. It's a big difference but you are paying for labor (which isn't cheap), and the profit for the builder when you have someone else build it.
