You answered a lot of questions I had about the Boxable Casita, Rachel, that I couldn't find elsewhere. For instance, details of the wire routing from the ceiling lights, a view of the outside where the electrical service panel lives and, yes, interior dimension via your tape measure. Regarding EPS foam, which I understand is a material used in the production of the casitas. Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) or Styrofoam, is a petroleum-based non-biodegradable foam, which the EPA and International Agency for Research on Cancer consider styrene a “possible human carcinogen” and “that such materials can have serious impacts upon human health, wildlife, and aquatic environment, and the economy.”

Thx 4 ur vid, you asked many important questions, I’m gonna retire in 7 yrs and I’ll need something by then I think this works, my big prob is I live in KS, n it gets cooooooold, -17 is the worst I’ve seen but the wind was blowing, I think I have 2 enclose the tankless H20 heater n make the electric panel part of the garage, that may work…hope :)…peace

This is the first time I’ve ever heard the room divider/centerpiece is a separate purchase. Out of all the videos I’ve watched about this home no one has ever mentioned it. I just assumed it was delivered separately since it couldn’t be folded down with the home.

Hello Rachel . Very informative. Can't help but be impressed with the clear information you provided in your review. Answered all my question's except one "if you do want to stack one unit on top of another, are there any building code's to comply with regarding internal stairs? Thanks Paul! The codes depend on the location; state, county, city. Boxabl has teamed up with permits.com to help streamline the process for people who want the assistance with local codes. They'll have other models in the future once they work out the logistics and ship Casita's to those who reserved one.

It says $3-$10 a mile from Las Vegas. So you are probably looking at $7500 minimum until they make a East Coast factory.

Get two or more and attach them together. You can have a whole unit for your library/ piano room. Currently they offer the 20x20 unit empty for $40k. $10k less than the kitchen bathroom unit.

The EPS foam is sandwiched between galvanized steel. From Boxabl FAQs - "They are rated for hurricane speed winds. They can handle the worst wind conditions in North America."

I think this would depend on where you live. You can absolutely put these on a foundation, since they have the plans on how to do it on their website.
