Mary and Chase are the early pioneers of Pine Lake. She might have the best spot. If all residents are as pleasant as Mary, it will be a awesome community!

All the residents I’ve spoken with so far have been great! I’m so excited for everyone to move onto the property, get situated in their new surroundings and the community to flourish. So neat to hear about our residents already watching each others dogs and going out shopping together :)
@staceyp4346 ай бұрын
I realize that now. I’m very blessed I live in a section 8 apartment in Fairbanks, Alaska and I realize I’m never going to move because I’m happy right where I am. I used to dream about and I still fantasize about having a tiny home but in reality, this is all I could afford.

I think we all should strive to be content and happy with where we live and the items we own. There are so many in our world that don't even have a roof over their head or a bed to sleep in. I lived in Section 8 for a few years after my divorce and looking back I realize how much I loved the place and my neighbors. Once our basic needs are met, I think working on ourselves and giving back to others with our time,energy or money is really important.

For Mary, congrats on your new home, so exciting to see the community coming together!!! Mary, consider extending the short part of your deck the full length of your house, if not around the back as well, so you have more room to grow 8nto the space, and so you have more outdoor area. And do they get bugs? Mosquitos? Consider making it all a screen porch? My grandma's place had a screen porch entry, really made for a comfortable 8ndoor/outdoor home for all seasons. So 3xcited to see how the roof pitch goes, and so excited to see this community come together!!!

Also, as landscaping goes in, consider hostas... And verigated hostas... And hostas with varieties of leaf sizes/heights... They would pair nicely with the natural vibe, and are easy to care for... And Wil stand the test of time for decades... And tall, heritage azaleas, and rhododendrons.... Factoring the full mature growth size of rhododendrons when they mature at age 80...they are about 10 to 14 feet wide... But are evergreen and gorgeous... And can be landscaped with short and tall varieties. Looks also like blueberries might do well there too... Enjoy the process, can't wait to see the lake with homes in place... So exciting

Randy @ ITH doesn't watch his own comments for his community, he's not going to read them on some other persons community. If you heard Hans he has NADA to do with the builds of the tiny homes, have suggestions issues contact builder. On the 10.00 lowes lights he uses, he's got to put something there though if not people would complain no light in the kitchen. If he chooses a different light then there will always be someone who doesn't like that light. So he goes cheap, savings passed onto you & you can change it out to your liking. (His same thinking process on the no appliances) He used to have appliances, too many issues I imagine...of everyone wanting something else.

Yes these phase 1 forest lots there in the northeast corner were naturally a little higher than most of the property but we brought in additional dirt to raise them still a little bit higher. Maybe have a divider of some sort between the LR and the bedroom. Was thinking a solid wood shelf that is pretty high where she can put books and plants. Believe it or not, alot of people keep their hanging clothes in the bathroom. Might give you more space to have the bed turned around. Easier to make the bed and puppy can still have a spot at one of the other windows. Check out for a small loveseat. I cant stop myself from decorating all the time. sorry. best.

I don't think that's the case why those homes are butt to butt close. Maybe it's a family or friends? Number one, it's not appealing at all 😮😢 Two, to spend that kind of Key money to look so close at your neighbors face? Not a good selling point...😮 Three, deck or no deck - one does not have privacy at all being so close you can rub elbows?😢 But Hans can you address, are they going to be that close? If by some chance you say yes, then a tall fence would have to be installed, yet still too cramped. Will the homes be that close!???😢😮😮

There is a large community safe room right around the corner and another a few streets down. Very easy and quick to get to should you desire to

This looks really interesting. I'm looking for an affordable home for my retirement. The only thing I see there I need that you don't have is high speed internet. Mary has given me a lot of ideas about how to manage space!

Can these tiny houses be delivered to the Florida panhandle
@gotinybefree6 ай бұрын
We don’t sell the homes, we just have the land for the lots and feature their homes. You’d have to talk with the builder “incredible tiny homes” about that (different company)

I can’t remember if I replied to you but thank you for telling me that. It almost kills me to think $15,000 is going to go down the drain.

It's not going down the drain. She gets to pay only $300/month, and will have a lot of amenities rhat the more expensive communities don't even offer at $600/month or more.

@@susanbeals7597 You have to live there for at least 4 years to recoup the $15K in the form of low rent, so if someone dies or has to leave early that is money down the drain. As for amenities, every other tiny house community , except for ITH, which has no amenities, has amenities that this place hopes to have. Please, don't spread misinformation based on your need to be a proselytizer for ITH, and now this community.

@@jm-bv1wh It's paying rent in advance in full plus 300 a month on top of that. You are correct about the rest of your post.

lol if you think you can find a piece of land and add this infrastructure and the amenities we’ll be providing for less than $15,000 and $300/mo, jump on it! None of this is cheap, it’s only possibly in volume like this and structured like this to be able to provide this at this low cost. Nothing is going down the drain, it’s all going into infrastructure and amenities for a higher quality of life years into the future. But I understand if it’s not for you as it definitely is not for everyone

@@gotinybefree If they can only live there for a year due to life change or death, that certainly is money down the drain, as they will not be there to benefit form the amenities or infrastructure, and worrying about future generations will do nothing to make them whole.
