After Xscape broke up, Tiny began focusing on songwriting with Kandi Burruss. Tiny explained that they forming a duo and originally wrote TLC's "No Scrubs" for themselves. After the song found its way to LA Reid, he let Tiny and Kandi know that TLC wanted the song. While they originally denied the request, they recognized how hot TLC was at the time and provided the group with the song.
Tiny admitted it was the best decision they could have made as the song became a massive hit. She also revealed that she was paid and credited for the response record, "No Pigeons." When speaking about Ed Sheeran using the song's melody for his hit, "Shape of You," Tiny said the song keeps blessing her and may do so for the rest of her life.

I’ve listened too and loved Xscape since they first came out. I still have and love Off the Hook album and what I love about all four of the Ladies is their honesty & growth. I am happy they’re back and have sorted out most of their issues and that they can come together and be united and do what they do best. Produce beautiful melodies and music. I am so looking forward to the new TV project with SWV who also went through a similar experience. Two phenomenal female groups with an incredible catalogue of music a real body of work.

I didn't even know they wrote that song or that ed sheran song, "The shape of you"sound was similar to no scrubs. Two very popular songs that always have my attention. When I was a little younger, this was one of my favorite songs. I definitely love "The shape of you" by Ed Sheran. Kandi and Tiny are very talented.

"No Scrubs" was released in 1999, Vlad. The year 2000 was when Kandi started become more in depth with her independent endeavors (release of her 1st solo album, writing songs without Tiny, etc.).
