I downloaded this video from the website of the Nordic Anthropological Film Association (nafa.uib.no/?q=...) and I don't have the permission to upload it here. The film is actually 25 minutes long but it was cut off after the first 14 minutes.

Y can't be in their village without being asked each time "give me "fire water". When you made a tent for stay to night immediately appears an indigenous person asking for alcohol. And of course it's not shown in the film but they have everything they need from government: satellite phones, generators, motor boats, fuel, vehicles etc.

Funny to hear this from a russian! a country that is notorious known for their drinking problem and isolated themselves while the western world developed satellites phones, motors, vehicles and good beer.😀

@@RogerPersson It's not a secret that northern nations (for instance Khanty, Mansy in Russia or Eskimo and Aleut in US) suffer from alcohol addiction. And of course it's not so funny. As for real russians (russkies) "widely known" drinking problem is only rumour and cinema stereotype.

​@@puerrobustus Russia is Europe's 4th largest alcohol consumption country per capita, according to WHO statistics. 15.1 liter per person (15+ years). Preceded by Belarus, Moldavia and Lithuania. I'm not denying alcohol problem among northen nations, neither do I see anything wrong if they use snow-mobiles or cell phones. Why refrain from everything? Look what happening in Belarus that trying that path; not much besides drinking vodka...

This is the language of the Khanty people. He is of Finno-Ugric origin. And it is related to Finns, Hungarians, Estonians, Sami, Mansi.
