Tiny Liquid Ballerina

🐙 ’Tiny Liquid Ballerina’ - a musical poem for harp.
This piece is my homage to one of the planet's most wondrous and mysterious creatures: the glorious octopus.
While composing the piece I imagined a little octopus, smaller than the palm of my hand, curiously reaching her arm to investigate an object, maybe the tip of my finger. Then suddenly hopping away playfully to continue her graceful dance of floating, twisting, and shape-changing like a tiny liquid ballerina.

Yes, there's something very watery to the harp's sound as well as the movement of the harpist's hands on the strings.
