I’m curious to see a comparison between the new Mac mini m4 pro and the Mac Studio M2 Ultra. For VectorWorks, of course. Thanks for the review.

Yeah, that would be good, but there plenty of KZbinrs who do lots of testing and speed analysis. I prefer to just test deisgn related software so will do that when I get my new M4.

Well, another day another new Apple product! What do you think about the new M4 Mac Mini and would you consider getting one?

Until it competes with Nvidia GPUs for graphics rendering etc, I’m not sure I can consider it. The appeal of a desktop for me is the sheer performance to cost ratio, and modular upgradability. I’m not so concerned about form factor.

Apple made a very good update, which do you think will work better with Vectoworks and Twinmotion? The one with the M4 be enough, maybe with 24 GB of RAM or would the M4 Pro be better, above all, to be on the safe side.

I would go M4 Pro or Max and 24GB ram is plenty for most workflows!

Hi, i just descovered your channel and subscribed, nice video! I have a question, i'm considering to buy a mini Pc, and with the performance this new Mac Mini has, is impossibile to not considering it. I need it for architecture and design, do you think a 32GB unified memory version of the base M4 would do well enough on Twinmotion (that's why i said 32GB, i went to the Twinmotion page and they list 32GB of unified memory as minimum requirements) or Enscape? Ofcourse i know that with the same price i could build a desktop with RTX cards, but i can't do it due to my needs. The Windows alternative i'm considering is the Beelink SER9 with the Amd 370HX, but the iGpu seems to perform worse then the base M4, do you have any idea how the two could compare in real time rendering applications? Thank you in advance!

Personally, I would recommend the M4 Pro version as it has much better performance and memory bandwidth etc. I just got a new base level M4 Max MacBook Pro with 14-Core CPU, 32-Core GPU, 36GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD Storage, and it's awesome, and I love having 3 displays.

@jonathanreevescad thank you so much! I saw some benchmark and real world test difference between the M4 and the M4 pro and the GPU performance is almost double, totally worth the money for the upgrade.
