Little tip for the front wheels. You can get them of the axle (pull carefully). Then you can deep clean, and lube the axel and knuckle. I use silicone spray for that. Push wheels back on axles (carefully, you hear little clicks when it snaps in place). Re-assemble the car. Now, to make it really smooth, you take a multi tool with a roundisch tool in it. Spin it on low speed, and lightly hold the front wheel on it, so it starts spinning. Do this for both front wheels. ( Not the backwheels!). This will make the front wheels run smoother then from factory. If you like, I could make a video of the procedure. Regards, Rene

That's a good one! Understand what you're saying. Since there is a need to be "careful" removing wheels from the axle (and re-sitting it back till hearing the "click"), a video highlighting this procedure would be great. Definitely would help the community! Cheers

For this procedure I am using a Dremell electric tool to "warm up" the front wheels. After couple of minutes the front wheels are ready to fly ;-) Some of my TR bugs came with over tighten front wheels and rolling on the road was funny and shaky. Now all they run well.

Thank You for making and upload this video. I struggled with one of my cars, actually the same color as the one in this video, so I had to disassemble it. And I really should now better. Of course I messed up and ended up with a some small pieces I did not now where or how to fit. Luckily I had seen Your video, and I watch it several times again. I did not notice the small springs when disassembling so they were both gone. I found one stuck on the magnet beside the motor but the other was missing, but luck was on my side so I found it on the floor. And now the little fellows back on the track thanks to Your video.

One of my Mini Coopers have a weird problem. After some racing the steering stuck again. After the maintenance you've shown in this video it is bac on the road but after some time it is stucked again and again. So I've reached the conclusion to order and replace entire steering assembly. Hope with the new parts to resolve that very unusual malfunction . I have 17 Turbo racing cars and have such a problem with just one. We'll see when the parts come from China.
@simplyatomic Жыл бұрын
17 that's a lot 😍.. 1 out of 17 is not bad! Hopefully the new parts resolve it. Anyway, while waiting, maybe you wanna check the motor for the steering (see if there are any dust/dirt; check if it "gear" on it is not too loose; press down the motor to the chassis to make sure the contact is fine).
@georgivoyvodov1123 Жыл бұрын
@@simplyatomic Immediately after purchasing my TR "bugs" I am doing one useful procedure : gluing with a little drop of silicone glue the both motors to make sure the are solidly flatted to the shasy and to prevent any movement and full contact with the gears. I found the problem with that Mini : The fan gear have couple of teeth damaged , and every time I pull steering to full right direction it got stacked . The new fan gears are on the way, so soon the little bug will be in perfect health ;-) And by the way - I am racing my TR bugs ONLY on my micro drome, not on the floor or outdoors. For outdoors I have another scale vehicles ;-)

Great video. but my C82 steering wheels seem to be stuck frequently and mostly towards one side. I have opened and cleaned every part and put it back. Yet the problem persists.
@simplyatomic2 ай бұрын
Thanks! Maybe you can try to "deep cleaning the front assembly (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnmVmnqojb2obs0)" If still persists, I'm guessing it could be worn out if you run it often.

hi, I have a problem with my mini. After a few days the car steers more to the left than to the right. It's not a problem with the steering trimmer on the remote control. I tried cleaning and there was actually a bit of dust but the problem remained. what can it be?

Hi there ! I own a C72and i wonder if you can just remove only the wheel whitout dissassemble the whole thing. There is no video on this procedure ( just chinese one with no voice ) because they are not rolling free because full of dust and stuff and the car go a little bit slower has usual.
@simplyatomic Жыл бұрын
Hi, have not tried pulling off just the wheel. But @renekatuin posted that he deep clean and lube the front axle by removing the wheel. He also posted a video on how he did it ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnmVmnqojb2obs0 ) . Btw, this was for the older model not the C72, but I guess it should be identical.
@nobocks Жыл бұрын
@@simplyatomic Yeah i finally did it after finding another video using a flat screw driver to make the wheel pop off and the axle is too big to be bent. When you want to put back the front wheels you need a tiny bit a metal to put it inside the front and push the axel then push back the wheel. Lot's of dust and tiny hairs, now my car run like a charm again. I wonder if i can 3d print some wheels to make it drift like the c64 but without any gyro. Gonna try this week if i got some time.

Mine stopped working, I put it to charge on the controller, but it's not picking up charge. Neither on the controller nor via the USB cable. It's not turning on the light. It has been unused for a long time. Was it the battery? When I plug the USB cable into the cell phone source, it emits a very quick flash of light and goes out. It's not working. Help!
@simplyatomic Жыл бұрын
Sounds like battery issue. If you don't use it for a long time, and the battery is left uncharged, it might drop too low causing the battery to fail. Try charging it awhile on a USB charger, sometimes this might "wake" it up. But be sure not to leave it unattended when its charging!

Hi there! Base on what you've posted, I would: 1. Check that the front tires are rotating freely by spinning it and see if there is any binding. If yes, check out mini rc channel video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnmVmnqojb2obs0 ) on how to clean it (also check the rear axle too) . 2. Try running it without using the body. If it turns well, the tires might be touching the body. Hope either would solve the issue. Cheers

Hello, my car is not going straight. I can trim it, but then the left and right are not the same. If I dismantle the car and let the servo turn off and then put everything back together in a straight line - it just won't go straight. I have no idea what else to do. Do you have any ideas? Greetings Daniel
@simplyatomic3 жыл бұрын
Hi, if there is no binding on the servo, there might be some dirt build up or dust/hair in the front wheel pins. Check out mini rc channel video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnmVmnqojb2obs0 ) on how to clean it (also check the rear axle too) .
