Small children will be affected with masts in school grounds . Not in it for an argument just sharing whats been going on in Gateshead where i live

Please upload more videos featuring recent inventions inspired by nature! :) I can't imagine the amount of hard work that goes into this, staying in the lab the entire day staring at and making that tiny robot over and over again and doing all that testing and data analysis... Hopefully the fruits of their labor (pun intended) will show in the near future!

Here's the thing: Since Monsanto is busy killing all the bees, the development of robotic bees would seem to be a spectacular answer to the need to keep growing food. Unless we stop to consider that, at the point where robotic bees become necessary to fulfill a function that nature has been doing for millions of years, we discover that now it's the people who make the bees that will be making the decisions as to who gets food. Imagine the power of the union of Agri-business and Agri-robotics. Of course we could just stop Monsanto from destroying the natural world, as an alternative. Just sayin ... .

The Robotbees would pollinate more efficiently than the actual bees. The bees don't pollinate on purpose they are only going to eat. While these robobees wuld be programmed to run a cycle that pollinates all of the plants in the field as opposed to the bee bees that are going to near random plants at random times to eat.

as with anything there is more than one way to look at this, let's get off this planet and make it a nature preserve, even then it will still have problems of species endangering each other. on the other hand, do you lose much sleep over any of the thousands of creatures that are extinct? maybe this is the fate of humans, to become machines (through AI) and to replace biological creatures with robotic ones. the thought might not be very appealing, but as i keep pointing out to people, we are all going to die sooner or later, and we don't lose much sleep over who is going to inhereit, does it matter if it's a natural, biological creature that came about by accident, or a machine that a human designed, a robot mofified, and will possible last forever?

Very interesting concepts, I wonder though? Why flapping wings, it has been tried and failed many times throughout history in the initial attempts to fly. just breaking the restraints of gravity is not the problem it is controlling the trajectory that becomes much more of a problem. Rocket propulsion is something you should look at, bombardier beetles produce a hydrogen peroxide that mixes with hydroquinone and produces a hot gas that they use for defense mostly but it could be used for propulsion as well. Just food for thought.

Set yourself in a place of peace. Soul peace. Every being that sleeps and goes to a dreaming place are all from a race of a universal consciousness. Be you bees or humans. We must stumble so that we can grow. Humans stumble, bees stumble during progress. The place we go to when we dream is eternal, and we have visited this place during the sleep time of every life we have lived. No need to save the bees and polar bears, for they have lived in the time allotted to them. We, humans, have lived in the time, allotted to us... We MUST live to the best'tis :) we can be. The live experiences we have imprint onto the cosmos. This imprinting is a memory that will be accessed by future consciousness's who come upon an awareness that will add value to their current existence. We can't rescue the bees or the polar bears, their job and place in this world is done. Times, going forward, are places that we need to continue to the best of our abilities. What ends, ends. We thrive in the places that naturally continue without any assistance. Dismiss expectations. Expect nothing. Fuck where you can and screw-over when necessary.

WOW this technology is still so young but they are literally developing algorithms for a cpu that doesn't exist yet. the "bee" is tethered to a computer controlled power supply that uses control theory to manipulate the "bee" into a stable flight, from the feedback of the infrared sensors. I think the real holy grail in technology is the development of sensors that make it possible for a idea to go from concept to reality. but still a giant leap in the mechanics of it. this is old tho.

Or we could just figure out a way to help bees. One stiff breeze and the entire operation is lost. I know I am missing the point, but I feel they are going in the wrong direction. Instead of creating a new method, just focus that same effort on maintaining what we have that works. I for one, do not want to see the days where drones put hard working bees out of work. There will be rioting, bee welfare and a general sense of disenfranchisement among bee populations. Before you know it, bumbles will be attacking honey's and don't even get me started on what those damn hornets will do, thugs....one and all.
