How are they infeasible if they've literally been built and tested?
@samuelsilver807711 ай бұрын
@@tc-tm1myMost things can be build and tested but never make it to market for regular people. Extreme Example: Hadron collider. Luckily they never meant it to be for anyone to buy. Uselessness comes from their interest to sell expensive stuff to poor/regular folks. Sure rich will buy it just Apple vision or 100k EVs but they will never get large audience if they cant cut prices to something that Joe Average can afford. That is why most of things in this and most "future tech" videos are just dreams of the rich that will never be affordable to regualr people OR they will never get past laws that regulate that industry.
@dafoex11 ай бұрын
They are infeasible not because they don't work, but because they are too expensive for what they do. An entire humanoid robot just to make a coffee? It's cheaper to just fit the coffee machine with an alarm clock and load it up with water and beans before you go to bed. It's why we have IoT thermostats and light bulbs now, they are just cheaper than a robot butler.

I wonder if two monorail carts can pass each other on a single railway track. As i remember correctly the energy to move an object on a railway is only 16 percent of what it would be if you use tires. As such it would be promising to use electric driven carts. (Lets remember, lots of railway tracks are still there because of military reasons, in case of war.But are not in use for transportation of goods or people. In case it would be allowed to use these tracks with driverless carts, that could be an economical liable option

Unfortunately for Elon's con, poor camera angles accidentally revealed the robot needed a human to remotely control, in real time, every single movement the robot made. Sort of like those toy sailboats, or toy airplanes, you remotely controlled in the last century.

I have had similar ideas to the monorail system for years that can and should replace all transport around urban areas. A very quick way to ferry people in and out of cities but also can link up as a train style system to send people in similar directions before disconnecting to move them onto to other areas.
