Hardwood saw dust is what fills pin cushions and a sturdy string attached to a little hexagon needle sharpener filled with Turkish sand would complete the perfect pin cushion.. its all about the 'filler' for the pins and needles and a way to keep them rustfree and sharp. This deisign using little hexagon English Paper Piecing is unique and eye pleasing pretty. Very well done! Thank you fot this totorial. 🪡🧵Sew On🧵🪡

Hi Emma...I just love this little pincushion so much! I bought some Liberty fabric and I’m already working on my EPP. I bought the fabric epp hexigons so I don’t have to take them out. Thank you so much for this video tutorial. I made the little scissor keeper a little while ago, and I just love it! It just gets more precious to me all the time! I’ve been learning how to quilt, but there’s just something so special and relaxing with hand stitching. You have such a beautiful voice and the music you play in the background is lovely! Thank you! Running a gathering stitch around your circle of fabric and then pulling the thread to fit your stiff finished shape is a beautiful way to make a folded edge circle for this pincushion or circle appliqués. You can spray starch and then iron and your center shape can be removed and reused.
