Hello Emma, I happened upon your video this morning and I am truly inspired. I do like to sew by hand and machine and hand embroidery. It is this time of year that I like to embroider so I got out a set of stamped pillowcases and will begin shortly on this snowy day. Thank you from Ontario, Canada ❤

This video has been life changing to this empty nester. Life has been lonelier since we moved andI I needed a way to make my love for sewing productive. This video combines everything I enjoy. I’m going to start with a quilt fo myself and then a mini hex quilt for my granddaughters dolly. I’m so glad I found you! Your videos have become a high point. Bless you.

I'm so happy to find your channel. I loved this video, it is so calming and inspiring. One of my aims for this year is to learn to sew clothes, a couple of tops and trousers to start. I just finished patching jeans for the first time. I don't see myself making a large quilt, but I think a quilted bag would be lovely. This is the first time I've really seen EPP up close, thank you for demystifying it. Happy New Year.

Emma, I love your videos. Do you have a video showing how to make the first quilt in this video you showed? Mainly just the blocking used. It looks like squares make up the block. 7 in the middle and decreases by 2 as you add to it. What size squares are you using? I hope I am making sense. Thanking you kindly. Paula

Hi Emma. I watch Sarah Homfray Embroidery and she says 'Don't try and do everything. Pick one item from your stash and work on it a little bit. Don't beat yourself up to get it finished, if half an hour is all you can give to it then do so and congratulate yourself at the end of the 30 minutes. You have got me sewing again and I love your hand embroideries.

Hi Emma, oh if I could only share all my thoughts here! I happened upon your video and absolutely love your work. I can totally relate to you I love England bc my Grandmother Sarah was from there. I remember her English tea cups and lace dollies and the smell of homemade bread, butter and jams whilst I grew up. I think I have her love for embroidery and sewing. I wish I could meet you someday, we can get along famously! My Grandmother was from Nottinghamshire England btw! May God Bless all your endeavors Emma! Bfn. Anna Therese

Sewing has saved me in so many ways. Financially I was able to make clothing for my children, presents for others and the list goes on. Now, as I am looking to retirement, I need to permit myself to relax and enjoy. Thank you for a lovely video.

Hello, I’m new here from the countryside of New York. I just found you and have watched several videos. Do you have any videos on your process for embroidering quilted projects or embroidering in general? You videos are soothing and inspiring me to slow down. Thank you 🩷

YES! <3 With each stitch, I think of the person the quilt is intended for--it inspires me--it is LOVE.

I am watching / listening while basting EPP diamond templates & fabric for a quilt made of old oxford shirts--various stripes and plaids and checks in blues & white--stars--in an arrangement which will reveal itself as it progresses.

How lovely to be able to have a sewing room! It is a dream of mine to have have one. <3 I am glad you can make your passion your work, and I admire that ability-- but I have found for myself, I enjoy it far more as a passion and past time. I see that we are similar in our approach in many ways: adore hand piecing and hand piecing as well. And like you, it is the process more than the product, and I enjoy every stitch. I always have many projects in various stages, and am always daydreaming and thinking of new designs to create, new techniques to learn and incorporate. I love the time to admire the fabric and be inspired by them, to touch them, and cut them. Each step feels like love. It really is mindful AND mindless. <3 Thank you for sharing all you do!

How do you know what to charge for items you make? Especially if it's something someone asks you to make. I done sell my crochet items. I work for charities or gifts.

Hello from the northeast UK. I have a 1" hexagon punch that I use heavyweight non woven interfacing - available at Boyes or any haberdashery. If you use the iron on, then when you press your piece, it permanently attaches and doesn't ruffle up. Dead cheap. I cut several layers at once, and do a load of them when I make time. Hope it helps friends😊

What a great video! I’ve been stitching for years and everything you’ve said about the process resonates with my own experience - it is often a challenge to carve out the necessary time for stitching but it’s so beneficial for mental health and general wellbeing.

How do I sign up for your newsletter please . . It would have done you the world of good , you both having time on your own , we all need that . I would need a bank loan before going in liberty I think , I could see I would be spending rather a lot . Even my local liberty supplier is bad enough . Hehe.
