I recently bought tiny towns and like it a lot. My favorite feature about it is how deceptively difficult it is. Everything about it makes it seem like it's an easy kids game and the objective is simple. Once you start playing you realize how difficult it is and how one move 3 turns ago effects you know. So, I'm not sure if I want something that makes it easier, but on the other hand new buildings...

I didn’t realise about constructing two buildings at once either!

Honestly, I DON'T like the idea of the game being easier. Which is why I never play with the "storage" ruleset or whatever it's called, in the base game. I like the game when you HAVE to place a resource someone else calls out (unless you're using a special building to mitigate that), because it makes the game more interesting and it makes hate drafting more feasible. That said, it SEEMS like this expansion won't be throwing coins at you left and right, so there still may be that risk/reward play happening. I'm all for new buildings to shake up the base game, though. I'm not super sure I love the coin mechanic, but I'm still intrigued by this expansion.

They are made so the coins sit up for easy grabbing

Hopefully this might add some variety but the game has been falling flat. Only real strategy people go for is farms and cottages and their monument since going for other buildings takes up so much room on such a tight board. Personally been liking Little Town a lot more than Tiny Towns. The player interaction is a lot more enjoyable with everyone building an engine for scoring together on a shared game board rather than everyone just calling out one resource on their turn.

Them taking up more space is the reason you should WANT to build the other buildings.

Yes because I’m very careful with my boardgames this is sickening how someone can be so careless

i honestly do not understand why anyone likes this game, much less why so many people do. So boring. Played it with 3, none of the 3 cared to ever play again.

I honestly don't understand what anyone gains by posting a comment like this. It's just saying "Hey, you like this. I don't." Congratulations?

Okay. And?

I guess they gain the exact same as somebody who says “man, I love this game so much. Played with 3, all 3 of us wanted to play it immediately again.” They’re just slapping a personal opinion/experience under the review. For anybody here looking for more than one single opinion (Tom’s), it’s all potentially useful.

@@AlexMartinez-kf4fv I'm kind of understand that. Even I didn't post it (not in this manner at least), there's a lot of time that I'm wonder "what I did wrong that cause me to not enjoy this popular/high score game?" I'm really curious because I think I'll like it (that why I buy it in the first place) but got surprise that it didn't turn out as I expected. This struggle is real.

It's a mix between Catan and Tetris for me. I'd say the sweet spot is about 4 players because it become more strategic and disruptive when picking colors/materials each turn.
