Tiny Whoop PERFECTION? BetaFPV AIR G4 5in1

Loads of people have already been having durability problems with the 5in1 and some retailers have even been cancelling their orders with BetaFPV for them until they get it straightened out. How many batteries have you put through yours so far Chris?

That IS BetaFPV's way! 💯 BetaFPV makes Beta products that they don't test or debug and let the consumers debug them for them! Seriously! This has been going on for years! I've been in FPV for 9 years, and this is their mode of operation! 👍😒 I've been saying for YEARS... Don't buy BetaFPV products until the item has a V3 or higher behind the model number! Seriously, their products are ALWAYS DEFECTIVE until at least the 3rd revision! FACT! Time and time again this same damn pattern happens... BetaFPV releases a new product, people buy it like mad, and it turns out to have numerous problems and is literally defective! They don't recall it like other makers would in a different category of products. Nope, you're stuck with it! Then they think they've fixed it and release a version 2. It'll have different problems, but still be defective and you'll be stuck with it too! So, they'll come out with a V3 and it'll "possibly" be good. It could take till V4 until they work out all the bugs from consumers debugging the product for them! Seriously! DON'T BUY BETAFPV PRODUCTS WITHOUT A V3 OR HIGHER BEHIND THE MODEL NUMBER! Not if you want one that actually works, anyway! 🤷🤦💯🥴

Today received an air 65, and now they shipped it with 4in1 but v1.1 version (also with fixed vtx output power) and a lit cutted canopy near vtx ufl.

Hi Chris, was this AIO sent to you by betafpv? If it was, it would be great if you were able to buy one and test it, I feel like betafpv would be a company to send specially tested and tuned products to reviewers...

I've seen a few posts saying the 4in1 and a receiver is actually slightly lighter than the 5in1, so it's interesting seeing yours being so much heavier... I wonder if there's a pretty big variance in board weights?

It is lighter to have separate. Chris's comparison includes extra long wires and hear shrink on the receiver. With a HM Ep2, minimal wires and double sided tape holding it in place you end up about 0.2g lighter.

I really like the way the 4 in 1 doesn’t have the front section. On mine, that seems to be the area most likely to take damage when I crash. I haven’t tied either yet, but so far, the meteora 65 has been my favorite tiny whoop.

I still have the first 4-in-1 ESCs from 10 years ago (and my friends were saying "yeah but if it burns one ESC you loose the whole board", lol)... I think they are still usable and will check.

Chris, some people are saying that this 5in1 has the same issue as previous where the VTX drifts between channels mid air. Do you know if this is true or it has been addressed?

Consumers have to debug and trouble shoot this product, like all of BetaFPV's products for them! They are too damn lazy, and t have been like this for years and years, to debug products themselves. So, we the consumers get shoddy, defective products and get stuck with them. Don't buy BetaFPV products until a V3 is after the model number! It's ridiculous, but FACT! 💯🥴

Nice video! But please test ESC endurance from those. Almost all tiny AIO (both 4-in-1 and 5-in-1) I got end up unable to spin one motor after 15 or 20 packs. I guess it's a broken ESC. Quite tired of buying those given the tipicaly low realiability. I dont mind an extra gram if it lasts. Such a low realiability kills the hobby. Please save us :)

How this tuning of watt power was done? Can it be replicated in betaflight on 4in1 board?

Got mine yesterday and think betafpv cherry picked the one they sent you. Using my immersionRC meter directly hooked up im seeing 300mw on the 25mw setting decay down to around 35-45mw. This happens everytime i unpit or plug in. Also using my rf explorer im seeing R1 at the end of the battery smear into R2 slightly. With the quality inconsistency these will likely be a no go for racing...what they are marketed at and this will create a lot of feels bads for those who dont have test gear.

Betafpv has catastrophic quality control .not a single board I bought from them survived more then 20 packs . Every other manufacturer just works . With betafpv it's an absolute gamble

I believe the 4 in 1 with a separate ELRS receiver is lighter than the 5in1. I think Albert Kim had a video on it? Maybe with the ELRS receiver and the wires it's heavier idk EDIT: just got halfway through the video I guess the 5in1 is lighter. The last video I saw must not have included double sided tape and wires for the reciever

​@@sakfpv8444nah it is heavier, but not if you want to use really long wires and heat shrink and double sided tape for the receiver. For a normal weight-conservative build it will work out lighter to have separate 😊

​@@marc_frank the vtx scrolls terribly with my akk vrx.. so I'd rather use another vtx. I have a hdzero spare at the moment.. so I put that on it.. but the onboard vtx is still transmitting and not on the channel I had last selected.. I installed a dummy load antenna.. in order to not ruin the onboard vtx.. but a solder bridge to unpower the vtx would have been a free/easy thing to provide by the mfg. I think all this aios should have stuff like that.. it'd really improve the second life of them.
