because what you see and what the opponent see of the game is not seen by both the player at the same time (because of some animations) the opponent probably saw earlier what happened in the combat phase (tinygargantuar blocking) and instantly conceded

Probably because the attack got blocked. I've seen that actions done in the match by the opponent are delayed but conceding happens instantly.
