Really important for the European guys is to set the receiver in to “Frsky_X_LBT” because they have EU_LBT transmitters.

Thank you for this. I have the older X9D+.... so this will work with this quad? Also.... does the VTX come unlocked or does it need to be? Looking to start a park racing club and want to be sure we are able to choose channels as needed. Thanks again for a very informative video.
@slogfpv56794 жыл бұрын
Hi AL USMC, Yes it should bind fine with the older X9D+ as long as you have not upgraded to the latest XJT internal module ACCST firmware (V2.0.1). If you have, it will not bind. It does come from the factory with some channels locked out. You will need to hold the VTX button down and then plug in your batteries to unlock all the channels. Easy process and the instructions are good on how to do this.

I have never kept my batteries attached while using BLHeli and I don't THINK i have had any problems. I am a noob with this stuff. Are you sure you have to have the batteries connected? I have installed the Blheli and reversed motors with BF also and it all works fine. Unless, am I missing something?
@slogfpv56793 жыл бұрын
Hi PawLeeGee, in general it is a good practice to always plug in a battery when you are flashing FW or changing settings on ESCs. They can draw more current during FW flashing and powering it with a USB during this process is not the best. Also it is more common than not, on FC stacks or AIOs, you cannot even read the setup to do the flashing (eg Happymodel Mobula6). Because the USB does not power the ESCs.

Great vid! Which would you recommend between this quad and the TH freestyle? I’m also considering the larva x, geprc phantom, and the hx100. Out of these, which do you recommend as an upgrade to my TH S? Thanks a ton!
@slogfpv56794 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the late reply as it did not show up in my notices. They are all good quads and it depends on what you are looking for. For freestyle I would have to say the GEPRC Phantom. For practicing racing, I would have to say the HX100. It is very fast with 3 bladed props. However, If you are more of a beginner, I would have to say the Tinyhawk Race. It is not overpowering and is very easy to fly.

Does it fly properly with d16 mode?instead of d8
@slogfpv56793 жыл бұрын
Hi Julian, in the video I was flying in D16 mode so yes it is flyable. However, D8 as you know has lower latency which is always better. Since this video, I picked up a Tango II and added a multi-protocol module that I run D8 on for whoops and my D8 compatible quads.
@JULIANysuHOHNER3 жыл бұрын
Really so i would work better on d8?it would be better if i add the xjt module....
@slogfpv56793 жыл бұрын
@@JULIANysuHOHNER you can run D16 in 8ch mode and reduce the latency as well. But, for quads with SPI receivers (eg whoops), you also get better range. I would say yes to a multi-protocol module because if you upgrade your Radio Transmitter to ACCST 2.x it will not be compatible with the Tinyhawk.

@slogfpv56794 жыл бұрын
Hi fassoli95, I never upgraded to the latest version of FW for the RF Module. I am still back at V1.1.3. Frsky broke compatibility with the V2.1.0 version with non-frisky recievers like what is on the TH II Race. I am not sure if that is what you are running into or not. You cannot downgrade FW to the older version if you have other quads with receivers running v2.1.0 FW. Not to sound negative, but a lot of FPV pilots have moved away from Frsky due to this forced only support Frsky receivers change in V2.1.0

I have purchased two controllers to attempt to bind to this quad and neither one will bind. The Taranis X9 Lite/Taranis Q X7 both have ACCST D16 options and just beep indefinitely while the CLI screen says Binding.... nothing happens. It never connects no matter what order I try the steps. So frustrating.
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
@Derek Nantz, my daily driver now is a Radio Master TX16S due to the frustration of backward compatibility of SPI Receivers (specifically I like running in D8). But as the video points out, the sequence I was able to bind with is: 1. In Betaflight configurator change the SPI Bus Receiver Provider to FRSKY_X 2. Go to CLI and type bind_rx 3. In your transmitter model setup change the Mode to ACCST D16 4.Put RC transmitter in bind mode. 5. Power off and then on the quad and RC Transmitter. Please keep in mind I am running version 2.3.2 on my radio (later versions may not work). You may want to consider buying a multi- protocol module (makes life much easier). SLOG

I need your help really. Is the normal E6 transmitter used for the RTF kits and goggles compatible to the Tinyhawk 2 race and how do I bind??
@slogfpv56794 жыл бұрын
Hi Blocky star, I do not have the E6 transmitter or goggles but the short answer is yes because the E6 transmitter supports D8 mode. The Tinyhawk 2 race comes default with D8 enabled. Since I do not have an E6 transmitter I will refer you to the link below that goes through the procedure with your transmitter. You still use the CLI command in my video to put it into bind mode "bind_rx spi". The goggles support the standard channels so you are good there as well. brushlesswhoop.com/using-tinyhawk-transmitter-with-other-quadcopters/

Why would you keep it as 25mw instead of getting better range with 200mw? I'm new to fpv.
@slogfpv56794 жыл бұрын
Just a personal preference of mine. Draws less current plus the TinyHawk R only comes with a SPI receiver so at 25 mW, it matches up with range of the receiver. In other words, when I see the video breaking up I know I am probably getting out of range if I forget to look at the RSSI signal strength in the OSD. Lastly, if you race (I don't) you are limited to 25mW to reduce interference with other racers (they also use Pit mode). Cheers, SLOG

Hi goingFrenzy, I am assuming when you say factory default you really mean in Betaflight on the Setup tab, you selected "Reset Settings". If that is the case you need to go to Emax URL below and there is a text file that has a CLI dump of the factory settings with instructions on how to cut and paste the txt file with a save. You can then go through the binding procedure again in my video. emaxusa2.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/19000109893-tinyhawk-ii-race-bnf-manual-firmware-cli-binding CLI Dump Link: drive.google.com/file/d/1gMiz5UboiIqsKeKvNqnA64ztwfJm2Dqu/view
