I saw that they had New Mexico stickers inside. Out of state residents can get a New Mexico state pass for $220.00 a year. It allows you to stay for free at any NM state park, which by the way have showers, bathrooms, trash service, dumpstations and park rangers, and some even have play parks too. Alot of the parks close their gates at sunset, which I feel is safer than BLM land. If you want water and electric, they charge you $4.00 a night.

What is BLM land?
@debbieg6064 Жыл бұрын
@@TacksofallJrades BLM land is short for bureau of land management. It's government owned land that you can stay at for free. If you Google BLM land maps in the USA, it will give you exact locations. Alot of these lands are right outside state parks, but some of them can be out in the middle of nowhere. You just drive in, pick a spot and park there. There are no amenities and you cannot leave any trash behind. It's a good option if you don't have anywhere else to park and camp or if you just want to save on overnight fees. But it is open land.

I’m building a hummer with a tiny home trailer and I’m having a blast. I can’t wait for it to be done. I’m already living out of the trailer on a farm so I know power consumption, water etc. I have exterior siding to do, solar kit and swapping my hummer engine to diesel. I used the hummer during the freedom convoy with a tent beside and it gave me the idea to build the trailer. A place to call home in any situation.

What an incredible home! I really REALLY need to hear things like "get out of your comfort zone" and "anyone can do it" because, in my world with my family & friend, I'm the black sheep of the family. No one in my life gets why I want to live full-time in an RV w/ my kids, other than my kids they're so on board for it. I live in a small town, on an island, in Alaska; it doesn't get much more remote than this :P My kids are the 4th generation in my family to be born in our hometown; my kids and I have never been off the island to the mainland for anything other than medical appointments. It's my goal to find a way for us to see new incredible things before I'm too old to do it. An RV made perfect sense to me so we can travel to more than one place w/o needing to pay as much for food & lodging. I'm also a widowed mom of 4 so money has always been the biggest obstacle, 2nd is the fact that we don't have stores like Home Depot, Lowes, IKEA, or same-day delivery options anywhere near me; probably not anywhere in AK. So, my plan is to use reclaimed materials as much as possible and not let my family's negative outlook get to me. That's why I watch so many of these tiny home videos, they are my inspiration! The people we see truly make me believe I can do this! My family's opinions are my motivation to prove them wrong heh

Wow, a reasonable, well-made, well-designed setup, and $80k for that seems like a really good deal. You get a lot of space, a lot of practicality, and a lot of storage for a fair price. It's always interesting seeing the different ways people create tiny living. But I am curious. Are you full time on the road and traveling? If so, How do you overcome the kids not having a consistent set of friends, or social interactions?
@5TonsofDiscovery Жыл бұрын
We are full-time traveling. We were on the road for 18 months and took it to another level recently and went overseas! I don't think our kids miss anything in the aspect of social interactions, as we meet a lot of people on our travels. Our kids have learned to relate and interact with adults very well, which I think is something missing in our society. In terms of constant friends, we started this journey as the pandemic was underway, so that had already changed the friends interactions quite a bit. We also know there will be a time for us to "settle" for the kids sake. And they have good friends back in our former home area that we will connect right back with when the time comes!
