Such a nice video. She speaks so clearly that it was easy to follow her story. If she can easily travel with her big dog, then I should be ok with Captain. He is old, blind in one eye, is having trouble with steps and is 90 lbs. But he loves to travel so I've been shopping for a dog ramp. I'm from Central Oklahoma and I'm trying to build out my 6x12 cargo trailer. A lot of good advice in this visit and I really appreciate it. Hope to see you on the road.

Great lady, lovely set-up. I loved her honesty about what she was afraid of (& I share the same fears)- lighting a fire inside the van, whether she'd even like being out on the road, spending a lot of money on a fancier rig, etc....Glad it's working out so well for her and her sweet doggie!

I'm just at the very start of my conversion though and I had to say thank you for inspiring me with some of your great ideas. The very best one (for me) being the bench / table top between the rear doors! I also plan on getting an awning for some added space, as I'm 6' 2'' and have a Labrador called Ted to consider. It's great to see an older woman doing this. Most of the videos I've seen are younger people. I'm 63 and dream about doing this, but my wife would never have it. So, I live vicariously through these people and enjoy seeing what people are doing. Again, it's great to see an older person such as myself, enjoying life and all it has to offer.

Great video but of course some of us want to know how she keeps clean and of course her bathroom situation in such a small van….and the title said that it was a high top transit van; well how much of a difference is that kind of high top than a regular van? however, let me just say I love this lady‘s attitude about the things that she had in there, what she was using, and how she was using it,…… and the practicality of all of it. For someone just starting Out she really has her head screwed on tight. Congratulations.

this is so great! So many of the transit connect builds in the US have that galley-way set up, which seems so tight und uncomfy to me and is really heard to imagine working if you travel with a dog. I follow Lady Bugout (who als has a van tour here) because she has a small van build that is kind of set up like this one and just puts all the homy-ness and space in the middle. I love how minimalist and virtually "no build" Lady Bugout is and how lovely and wonderfully simple and comfy this build is. Such a help to see what works with a dog in a tiny builds and the challenges it brings. I hope this lady makes a channel to for youtube because she is so lovely and it's so relaxing and nice to hear her talk about her van, her choices and her dogs! So Cynthia, if you are reading this: please make a channel so I can follow your adventures 💕

Confused about somethings, did she say if she had a toilet/shower setup either outside or at gym. Does she have running water to that pot with a drain to gray water. She has to do just about everything outside, so staying in warm parts of the country. I seen a dometic fan but did she mention a heat source. I think I need to watch again. I don't think I could tolerating living like, so small foot print with a beautiful but lg dog, like 2 in that van, but she appears to enjoy it. Did she mention how she makes her living. Did I miss if she has solar or battery bank. How does she run her fans & frig. I'm going to rewind...lolf

Cynthia, your build is really nice. Love your extra platform at the foot of your bed for your dog! Love the versatility in the back with the bench and the table, but also the simplicity. I've tried doing a build in my Town and Country van....I'm on iteration #4 at the moment. I thought the last one was good, but it felt too cramped. I, too, hope to get a slightly bigger van for intermittent travel. Hope to see you on the road!

Smart decision to travel in a van with your dog. I did same with 2 dogs.Unfortunately they are gone now, and I am considering this summer to convert my truck and go out again, sans dogs, which will be a different experience. I too dream about a small high top van, but 2023 is not the time to buy, and will want to test the lifestyle again before I make a bigger commitment. Kudos to you and hope to see you down the road sometime.

I love your setup, and if you don't mind me saying you could use the two back doors to make a privacy room so you can use the toilet/change room or take a shower. It is very easy. You just hang curtains on the back between the two doors. It is just an idea 💡 😊😊

I have been looking at those vans online but they all have around 150,000 miles. One salesman said they are much higher risk for rollover accidents because of the height. But I like being able to stand up in them. Hopefully I'll find one soon. I love your set up.

I don’t know how she does hers but I watched a Japanese man line his frying pan with foil and his plate with parchment paper. Throw away the foil and paper after, a quick wipe with a spray cleaner and a paper towel and you’re done with dishes. 😊
