I loved this episode!! Snack segment was hilarious! Snack song addition was a great touch. When I make popcorn I don’t wait for 2 kernels to pop, I just pour it all in. I just listen for when it sounds like popping is slowing down. I add Parmesan cheese and paprika. Sometimes I add marsala. Organizing shop, Nicely done. Reminding me I need to organize too!!

I'm the oldest of seven kids, and we used a similar method on popcorn night. One difference is we put in more seeds at the beginning and when the popped corn started to lift the lid, we put the popped kernels into a large brown paper grocery bag, replaced the lid and continued to pop the remaining seeds, until all seeds had popped.

My son works on an air force base machining parts and they are crazy about organizing every tool. He did the same at home. Foam cut out spot for EVERYTHING. Sockets all on the bar and bar fits in cut out. It’s a DREAM to work at his house. At his job daily the shop is swept and everything cleaned and every toolbox checked that no tools are missing because if a tool gets left in the plane or chopper engine compartment it could fall into running jet and cause a crash costing millions and lives. Military is CRAZY about organizing and are really efficient at it.

One organizing tip I'd give would be to put your liquids (paint cans, caulk, etc.) into clear plastic boxes; the tendency is to either forget what's at the back or not use it because it's too hard to get to, whereas if they're in the boxes, you can just pull it out, grab what you need and slide the whole box back into place. It will also limit damage if something or other explodes or leaks. I use that system in our storage areas, including for our kitchen tupperware, and it works like a charm!

I would close any small openings in the store to keep dust and sand away from your materials. Second. Have you tried sanding and "oiling" the wooden drawers with soap to make them more moveable? Or check out heavy duty telescopic slides, you can install them out of sight to keep the vintage look.

Good job with the organizing. My daughter has done that with our collection of tools and what-nots. My 16-year-old grandson came downstairs a few weeks ago looking for a tool to use for some project he was doing. I asked what he needed he said he would know when he saw it. I've been there, so I let him look without interfering. A few minutes later he announced: "Wow! with a toolbox like Mimi's who needs Home Depot!" and he went back upstairs with something he had found that would work for his project. I still don't know what it was, but I was definitely honored that he appreciated my collection of tools.

Love Milwaukee tool organizers. Great quality and long lasting. Loved popcorn making session. Homemade popcorn is quick and inexpensive, and you know what was used as compared to premade bagged popcorn which is usually made with cheap oils that are not healthy. Homemade gives you so many ways to custom flavor it to your liking.

I really wish I had that gene. Great job and can't wait until we start seeing you use everything as you begin building your house. The other thing about buying snacks is all the plastic bags that they come in. More for the landfill. Buying bulk and storing in glass is so much kinder to the environment!! Good job!!

The key is for keeping your tools shade organize or any place is when you pick up some thing you need to pay attention to which spot you have picked that so that after you done bring it back and return it to the same place that you got it. Simple as this and every member of family should follow this important rule. Great job, loved the tour you gave us and it looks so organised and clean. Bravo Happy New Year

For the tall, corner tools cut a pallet to the size of that area and stall in on end and secure it to a wall. Then stand all your long implements , shovels, crow-c bars, etc. on end and supported and out of the way. It’s works very well, I did this for my rakes and shovels….etc. Good work folks!

Bonjour la famille. last summer, i organized my 5 X4 X3 meter shed/workshop. the tedious task of sorting washers, screws, nails and other bits was made doable whilst employing mason type jars and tupperwear containers. here in France, we do not have said promotion like you all, so we do the best we can. like you all, you find so many duplicates of things. yikes, the money we spend. but all in all, it's a good idea sort your bits and pieces for day you'll need them to work with. we've started a new year and i'm looking forward to the beginning of the housing project. enjoy the warm weather, i noticed brother Jonathan wearing flip-flops already. lucky you !!!

When my husband and I did theater we had a sign in the shop called Mickey's Scene Selector. There were three choices, but you could only have two and there was a mickey in the middle like on a clock face that could spin and point. Your three choices were: fast, good, and cheap. Your investment gets you to your tools and little bits good and fast, but not cheap. In the long run it will pay off, because you won't end up with duplicates buying things you already have, but cannot find. It will cut down on extra trips to the store, lost time, frustration, etc. and the disharmony that it brings. Good job advocating for an improvement that looks like a tangent or luxury.

The best part of having your garage/storage/shed organized is you can tell your kid exactly where to go and where to find what you need when your busy. Get you some pegboard for that rear dirt wall. Nothing like looking at pegboard and see exactly what you need right away. That bench drawer is going to be a catch all before you know it. Very nice product job though.

My Dad always made the very best popcorn. He covered the bottom of the pan with the kernels then added oil just to cover over medium high heat. Once they started popping he adjusted the heat a bit and periodically shook the pot. Once the popping slowed down he took it off the heat. Add melted butter, dehydrated cheese, or whatever seasoning. Delicious.

While it's popping, put a tea towel through each handle and across the lid. That way you don't burn your hands and you have more control of the pot while shaking it. To store the long handled tools, get a tall garbage pail and put the tools in it. Attach the pail to the front wall with some screws. Higher up put a hook on both sides of the corner and use a bungee cord to hold the tools in place.

I used to make popcorn the same way every day after school. When I got married, my wife just left out the oil and the two test kernels. It works just as well. As for how much, it's one layer on the bottom, no need to shake. Season with Butter taco seasoning and nutritious yeast. reducing the environmental impact of disposable packaging is reason enough to make it at home, the bonus is, it's better.
