Tip #19 Catalog your tools

The catalog is a lot of work but it sure pays off. I do make an extra representation of my catalog image that keep with the actual tool (die, stamp, etc). On that one I label everywhere I cataloged it. This way it is easy to remove from the catalog if I ever purge or lose that item. Also helps if the item goes missing to know exactly what should be in that spot.

That is an amazing thought! I’m still (but almost done) separating what I have from when I started your challenge several years ago (work gets in my way!). But I am progressing! Thank you for all your tips!

I agree i find that you waste alot of supplies doing a a physical catalog. A digital catalog can go with you everywhere.

We need a digital App which updates across platforms for cataloging our items. Suppliers could update their offerings so we would not have to manually input all the data ‘ images already exist for their websites. Why is this so DIFFICULT?
