I’m going to try the pinking shears! I usually trim back the lace for my widow’s peak. I like the marker idea too. I have a wig with sort of stripy highlights and the marker will do the trick. Thanks!

What a great transformation. The trimming of the hair line really brought more realism to the front of the wig. These are subtle modifications that can really add much to the appearance of the hair. Helpful suggestions! Thank you...now where did I put my pinking shears.......

Speaking of the pinking shears, you would think the way the wig community has grown SOMEONE would come out with small pinking shears to use on wigs! I know, we can start making them and get rich!! 😁

YES! I was just thinking about that the other day. Oh to have the knowledge and resources to do something like that myself. Great minds must think alike, lol!

Does using sea salt spray make the wig need washing more often?
@heywigsister
@heywigsister 3 жыл бұрын
Well, it really depends on how much you use and how often. Just a few spritzes every now and then probably won't, but to really transform the wig AND have it hold all day you have to use quite a bit and then it would need to be washed more frequently. Especially if you sometimes want the waves and volume amped up sometimes and sometimes want it straighter and more tamed.

What kinds of wig cap can you do a pluck a part with? Am I right that I cannot do it with a basic cap?
@heywigsister
@heywigsister 2 жыл бұрын
I would not recommend plucking a basic cap wig because there isn't anything on the cap that looks like scalp. A wig with a mono part or full mono top can be plucked because those mono-features are meant to look like scalp.

I'm needing to add a little grey to a wig that is brown with no highlights to make it look more me. Any suggest of a grey maker to use? I like the looks of Sage after your modifications. Really enjoy your videos.
@tbags93
@tbags93 3 жыл бұрын
Although I have never used one, I do know that Copic has markers in the grey colors. Several to choose from but honestly do not know how they'd show up on a darker wig. I believe I've seen spray on grey colors as well. Ulta has a whole section of spray on hair colors, just don't remember seeing grey specifically, but I'd check them out or maybe on Amazon.

@@tbags93 I hate to reply on others' comments, but I tried a Blonde Copic marker on one with darker roots and it didn't work at all. 😔
