Tip-up BASS & Pike! Ice Fishing Northern Wisconsin

On today’s episode of Wisconsin fisherman we headed to try a early ice bass bite that we stumbled upon last winter. The set ups worked just like we remember and were able to pull out some big bass.

Nice work. I use beaver dams as well. I like to form the slush around the ends of the tip ups so they don't move on a bite. I feel like they drop the bait more when they feel the side of the hole

Did you get hammered with snow yesterday? We may be able to get out into some of the bays on Little Butte des Morts within the month. Checked them 2 days ago, no holes yet, but open edges.

What a great video! I love the underwater footage showing how slow, and finicky, the game fish can be with minnows. So, you never give a little hook set when first pulling up?

Gotta use a leader on your tip ups for pike but the trade is u don’t catch as many bass
