She is a fantastic story teller but I’m not sure about her investment strategy . Her innovation ETF is filled with insanely overvalued stocks , mostly not even profitable on the promise of in a few year they will conquer the world. I don’t believe Tesla will become the only electric automaker in a few years so it can justify its price . Make sure you don’t buy a story !

Sorry for being old and grumpy and not understanding how things have now changed and that the old value investing principles do not apply anymore. I was hoping that a value investing podcast may have discussed the company’s fundamentals, volume, revenue, margin, dilution, capex requirements to fund growth, competitive position, headwinds, intrinsic value... but instead we had a chat about stock price predictions and how Elon himself did not get the right number... But hey fundamentals are a last century error in judgement. What actually matter all matters is what Mr.Market feels like paying for a company today and stock price guesses. Hats off to Cathie Wood for guessing that a company that is barely profitable would sell for 900 times! It makes perfect sense. Just shows how the likes of Warren Buffet are completely out of touch. Trey should have asked her about the next stock that will sell for 900 times earnings so that all value investors can rush and buy that one! I used to love this show when it was a value investing podcast. Today it may as well have Jim Cramer as a host. I really wish Stig would have a separate value podcast.

Man I really here a lot of "this time is different" from her. Like we've never had innovation or disruption in the past. Why in 2000 was the technology not there, yet it is today? Most of the ideas she's toting are still very much in the future and unproven, yet she pushes them with 100% surety. The contrarian view would be sillicon valley has already hit its high water mark and innovation has stagnated.
