So did I when I went back dairying, the main reason was because of having first calvers and young cows which the man above has.

Best of luck to him, but to be fair the acid test for dairy farmers including new entrants is only around the corner with dark clouds gathering for the industry, in the form of inevitable herd culls, unpredictable winter & spring weather, soaring input costs (meal, fertiliser, labour, electricity, silage), glanbia milk price cuts above a certain threshold starting in Apr 22, everything is running well since 2019 but traditionally irish dairying has always been a feast or a famine, and unfortunately this time if the dairy sector falls, it will fall heavy.
