It was a great day for my grandfather from Bansha who was 80 at the time to see his beloved Tipp win the All Ireland. He was so delighted. He was actually cycled from Bansha to Killarney to see Tipp beat Kilkenny in the 1937 All Ireland final that's how dedicated he was. He saw them will again in 91. He passed away in 1997 aged 88. RIP. The great Tommy Doyle is buried near him in Thurles.

That Antrim squad had an all-Ireland in them, they wouldn't have won in 89 but they had their chances in the two seasons after.
