Serafini Gaunt Especially with bigger or smaller hallways. There's a main hallway I have to use when my classes are on different sides of the school. And that main hallway is almost always jam packed. Our student population is about 2,500 students which is a lot for a normal public high school in the state of Indiana. Most people go slow, some people may go to fast and nearly trample other students. So this is a really good word of advice for larger, higher populated public high schools.

From a soon to be Senior I cannot stress this enough, stand strong, stand firm do not give in to peer pressure and don't change you to be "cool" because you are already cool when you are yourself! If you have bully issues remember they are only trying to get you down because you are above them! Work hard, do good, and reach for your dreams. Find those you connect with, and find those dedicated few you can always count on.

This is all so true! I am about to finish my freshman year of high school and I have heard, seen, and learned alot. I moved from one group of friends to another, and now my old friends are bullying me but my new friends stick up for me all the time. It teaches you alot, about who to trust and who to dump. I have also avoided dating, drugs, alcohol and basically anything illegal that would get me into trouble and I have made it out just fine. Thanks for the extra advice too

Miles is absolutely right. I wasted all my time doing nothing my first two years of high school and by my junior year I only had 2 credits. I realized what I had done and I regret it completely. (I have my GED now.) It's so important to just do the work. It only gets easier once you get into the habit.

Love this! Especially number 10! :). But for my own tip...if you're somewhere in school and you two people in some drama, keep your mouth shut! Unless it is life threatening or a danger to people and/or school (Then of course you tell someone). But other than, keep quiet! MYOB is a big factor in high school sometimes.

Try your best and keep a positive outlook. Your high school years are the last and probably best moments of your life. People will get depressed and do drugs or kill themselves due to this depression. Have good and supportive friends and get good grades and you should be fine :)

You shouldn´t really worry because for middle school, the only different thing is that you have to change classes and stuff. A word of advice though is to not hang around the wrong kind of people and don´t mess up your 6th and 7th grade years with low grades because then it´s hard to get into a good high school.

Another advice is chose your friends wisely. I fucked up my freshman year and nearly stayed back. I can't take summer school because I don't have the money. Now hopefully this year I'll make up by getting A's and B's. ALL of my friends failed at least 2 classes because we were too busy skipping class and playing around. I never skipped class before I met my friend, DJ. If you give in to temptation very easily, then I suggest you find friends aren't bad influences >_>.

@g6chic Ya, weed isn't "addictive" in the sense of NEEDING it but it can be habitual. I have no issues with weed (being a former pot head myself) but I wouldn't recommend students who want to excel to partake because any motivation goes down the drain and it's sooooo obvious to teachers/parents when someone is high.

If you cannot defend yourself make sure a teacher or the principal know what is going on, if things still are not working out and it gets physical go to the principal and if nothing done go to the police! Its their job to make sure your safe and most cases the school will help.
