Tips & Advice to Make your Minecraft Server Successful

a thing i would like to add is that IF people want to offer everything, add them ONE AT A TIME and let them build a player base BEFORE adding a new game mode so the server has some life already before you try to adding more life to your server, trust me, this is the lesson I learned from trying to offer everything all at once on the first release of all my previous attempts at hosting servers in my past PLUS doing it this way makes it so you can make each gamemode a very high quality and have a lot of features to keep people playing for years to come

As a game developer, logic can be very challenging. Sometimes it’s almost impossible to think of everything the first time you code something. The more you do it the better you’ll get at it though, just stick to it.

Nice video, I am working on a huge mmo rpg, and need to make a giant map(2000x2000 blocks) and its taking so long bc its only me building. Are there any sort of ways you can speed up the building process that you know of?

I know the mods Axiom and WorldEdit can help speed up the process a lot- Axiom especially is great at terraforming. However if you use Vanilla you'd have to figure out how to use Fabric, a popular modloader.

Start with hiring someone on fiver, and get them to use world painter to make a base map with structures etc, and then build from there

ahh 5:14 u can create custom plugins with some "plugins" that has feature to code and easy to use like |Skript| i used skript alot and its easy to learn and to use and its has features like (Npc's , CustomWepons , and much more) i am not ad but just saying its soo good to try new plugin with new features :)

Yeah im a skript user, but there's so many haters and call it a RAM eater even if free minehut can handle skript like a champ, maybe making plugins is way better and effective but you can code with skript way easier and faster but i recommend to take breaks from skript, for example i coded for a week nonstop for 4-5 hours a day, and after few days i had memory issues with skript and i couldnt really remember anythhing it was like i forgor how to use skript, and well after taking a 2 day break i compared my scripts that i made when i started my own project and it was all good and pretty cool, but like when i started overworking oh man, the code was well not that good and i needed to fix some stuff

But i recommend skript, you can code some crazy abilities, bosses, quests and almost everything but dont forget to take breaks! cause overworking can really make you go insane

If you wanna add more minigames you should when you have an active playerbase so instead of 10 there are 100 lets say. 20 joined skyblock 20 joined survival 20 joined bedwars 20 joined creative and 20 joined pvp. Now threy are active and just like he said it will spread up

1 thing tho for setups i think its a nice way for new server owners to get a feel and expirience on how to make an actual server, like a starter pack you might say or get to learn on how things work becuase im 100% sure that most server setups has bugs mainly because most of it is not tested so sometimes the owners are forced to try to learn to fix it themselves

I totally agree with that. Server setups could be a great reference point for new server owners. However, what I see a lot of owners do is upload the setup and call it a day without customizing anything.

3 gamemodes is a bit much, especially at the start. I would start to focus on 1. And only expand later on if there is enough interest and you have a dedicated playerbase
