Btw technically [GM] and [ADMIN] are on the same tier as they both cover hypixel employees, many people are under the impression that admins are above GMs but that's not necessarily true, they are just used for different purposes. Great video alebrazil!

Generally admins cover a wider list of purposes, and GMs can get "promoted" to admin - but not the other way, but Ye u right

@@ale GMs do not get promoted to admin, they are completely separate jobs with responsibilities very different from one another. There is no career path in Hypixel like that. A moderation position isn't suddenly going to become a game developer etc.

Fun fact: ranks were 70% off near the end of 2018. I believe it's the cheapest permanent ranks have been ever. That was a time when hypixel playercounts were at their lowest, and then they released the Hytale trailer. Hypixel was struggling.

God rank is most likely a reference to the Pokemon Omanyte. During TwitchPlaysPokemon, the community chose the Helix fossil from the 2 fossils you could obtain in Generation one. They proceeded to revive the fossil into Omanyte and name it GOD. This would turn out to be one of the biggest memes in the Pokemon community.

KZbin ranks have a lot of perks that aren't talked about often. Most yts don't even know all their perks, like exclusive housing themes. Then there's ShinkoNet who made most of Skyblock's music, they are yt rank and have access to a noteblock radio shown in a video, where most songs aren't even used on Hypixel. It would make sense for the radio to be an exclusive perk to them among yt ranks, but I'm not 100% sure.

I think the radio included a lot of the noteblock contest songs too that are unused (however a lot of 2015 contest songs are in housing, the only song that is used from 2020 contest is Bonzo fight). YT ranks might also not like to flex their perks too hard and it's reasonable they might not know about them if they only play skyblock or something.

The [GOD] rank for Helix__Fossil comes from TwitchPlaysPokemon. A Helix Fossil was chosen from the two fossil pokemon available in gen I. The Helix fossil was revived by chat and turned into omanyte, and nicknamed GOD. This turned into a massive meme, hence the nickname [GOD] for Helix__Fossil.
