Lol and I have been on the fence of trying Jack-O but this may make me want to finally pick her up. Dead ass! You're reading my mind bro. Haven't taken the plunge yet, been looking at Bridget honestly, but Jack-O seems like fun, but is WAY different than Ky obviously. Need to untrain my muscle memory when I pick her up, as if I am playing the game for the first time. These tips will help me fight her more consistently as she is mad annoying when I fight her as Ky.

I lost to a jacko at Evo so it started my journey of trying to figure her out haha i really enjoy playing the characters that make my opponent approach. I play ky and he's still my best character, but I tried happy chaos for a while but I found the lack of reversal and safe jumps difficult. jacko seems like a happy medium where I have strong zoning and strong offense as well as setplay w safe jumps. but managing resources definitely takes a while to get used to, but once you get a minion out it feels like any round is winnable.

@@djq9903 Nice adaptation. How did you do at Evo? For me, I am more of a neutral/rush down player. I try to strike a balance with patience and being oppressive when I can, which sums up why I gravitate to a character like Ky. I already have so much to think about during a match as it is already that I always thought characters that relied heavily on resources like Jack-O or technical characters like Zato were too much of another layer for my brain to handle. Also I don’t feel like I have played Ky to his full potential yet with a lot of the practical tools and tech that I see others doing I haven’t even implemented into my play yet. But learning other characters I hear does help players keep the game fresh to them and makes them excited to learn, so I think videos like this really help to break down a characters goal in a match as well as how you can fight them as an a opponent. Great stuff again man. Looking forward to what else you got cooking up in the lab!

@@TBV5 I got 193rd at evo, the jacko that beat me also beat hotashi so I don't feel too awful about it but I'm not tryna lose to another one again haha. Playing Jack-o and HC definitely helped improve my defense when I couldn't rely on a DP as a crutch. Thanks! If you ever want to play sets feel free to hmu on discord djq#9903.

@@djq9903 I think I saw that Jack-O through Hotashi's video where he lost. Need to check that out again. Wonder where that dude finished. I actually very rarely use wake up DP as a defense mechanic because it was always hard for me to ge the timing right but on hitbox its suppose to be easier, which it feels good to me but still getting the timing for wake up DP. But those two, Jack-O and HC, I can understand are really technical and execution heavy compared to Ky. Would love to run sets with you man. Will add you. I am actually in Japan and I need some serious training for these netplay Japanese players. They are like all sweaty Gods here.

@@TBV5 there's a lot of hitbox shortcuts for dp but yeah I actually just press 623. for supers I just do the sliding overdrive thing kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIXKnWp6ZpZmbZY tbh I think one of the biggest strengths of hitbox is being able to mash DP and reversal. if I'm trying to mash and catch my opponent the moment they leave a gap, I'm either just mashing forward and down to get dp, or just sliding my finger back and forth for sliding overdrive. that's hype tho, our connection from America to Japan might be rough haha

This character is beyond busted. Unbalanced with the caveat of high exection and high skill floor. Mark my words, by the halfway point of season 4 every single top player will consider her a top 3 character. Arcsys is on some crazy stuff
