I remember being 4 and watching my oldest brother play some sort of fighting game and the one character I remember is some crazy chick with a giant ass key for a weapon, and seeing ABA's reveal trailer made me have such a brain blast and I was like “nooo....NOOOO THATS THAT KEY LADY". In short, this character has revived some memories in me and has solidified my decision to REALLY get into the guilty gear series.

I was told that ABA's hair is green now is because it's made of copper, and it's been oxidized. I haven't found full confirmation that her hair is actually made of copper, but hey her blood literally contains mercury so I'll believe she's mostly made of metals because how else is an artificial being with mercury for blood suppose to function? EDIT: She dyed it.

Despite Testament being my favourite DLC character season 3 is easly the best season of Strive so far imo. They absolutley cooked with characters like Johnny and A.B.A, remaking them faithfull to their originals but also more beginer friendly and balanced, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for Slayer next.

Reminds me of Monster Hunter's Charge Blade: - 2 modes, with the initial building energy for the second. - Has a move in the second that expends EVERYTHING you built up. - Big weapon - Has moves that switch the modes - Burning out energy leaves you vulnerable - Can set up for long combos to deal lots of damage

Her moves had the theme of blood she uses limited blood packs to get her second mode as well as just hitting targets but while in that mode she risk her own health bar so you have this cool management game-play flow

It's a stance. Installs are generally supers and tend to be buffs Stances usually are not supers and give new toolkits

I always called her an install character. Stance, to me, always implied that each different stance had a situation where you would favour it. A certain stance could be faster but weaker, for example. Install characters would be “installed” 100% of the time if they could be. A.B.A. is just better in every aspect and when you aren’t in Jealous Rage with her, you’re doing everything that you can to get back to it ASAP. Plus it has a depleting bar. Just screams install to me.

I know a lot of people were doubting ABA could get in Strive because we've got Nago already, and they both had this blood meter thing going on, but now that she's in strive I can positively say that she's quite literally "Reverse Nago". Nago starts off extremely powerful but if the first few interactions don't go his way he has a hard time, while ABA starts off on the struggle bus until she gets one good interaction and then she runs away with the round. People are going to *hate* her as they always hate "robbery" characters like her.

not gonna lie with how good her jealous rage is i feel like her normal mode is heavily underestimated-sure a lot of it's attacks are very short ranged and she has horrible mobility, but she has easy dodge options for pretty much all attacks in the game + a parry move; i can see a god level player completely demolishing others using just A.B.A's normal mode where they play defensive and focus on reading the opponent

Absolutely adore what theyve done with her and Paracelsus' relationship. Moving away from Moroha where P is manipulating(plus acknowledging/establishing that's what Moroha was) and moving into the idea that ABA is determining his form, and that when her jealousy is peak his form becomes ambiguous. Lots of cool stuff that also justifies moving away from blood packs Also removing the health cost lets them justify Jealous Rage being not as strong as Moroha, so despite being true to her concept she isn't AS oppressive in the good mode.

i've been playing aba for a while and i tend to use her keeper of the key to end a combo outta jealous rage and potentially break wall if the opponent is in corner. i find most people don't notice it hits three times in rage mode and it catches them off guard.

I think Aba is a little op though when she has full meter she is nearly unstoppable with no weaknesses and she can mix you up into a combo it would be better if she did less damage or she had her old weakness where she loses health everytime she attacks making her a high risk high rewards character that would be fun high risk high reward

watched some matches and I think people are sleeping on her uninstall. I've seen one guy use it effectively, like when the opponent was in hitlag, and with the jealousy recovery it gave he just went back into rage immediatly and pretty much spent the whole game with rage active. Also, with everyone favorite new mechanic wild assault, you could potentially mitigate her lack of mobility while not in rage? I dunno, though, not enouth time passed and people tend to prefer to keep their burst so it might not be viable.

I don’t usually call it, but A.B.A might just be the most broken character in the game. It might not seem like it, but, off of 6H’s soft knockdown (in base stance), you can loop meaty strike/throw pressure, you can frame kill with two command dashes to meaty off of a 6H. Into either C.S or throw.
