Thanks for sharing. I think I must have gotten some bad glass like you . Because I had squares that did the same thing. I have fired them again and no change. So now I know why. Very frustrating. Love the press and seal tip.

Cleaning vinegar works really good for getting shelf stuff off of projects. Cleaning viniger has a little more acidity than regular viniger.

I think you are right about the coe. I like to play around with fusing non coe 96 or 90. Some of the stained glass does that exactly. Square and dull. I wouldn’t trust that glass. Great for mosaics tho.

Thank you, Jamaison! That press and seal trick is genius! Dots are a necessary evil and I hate picking them off the kiln shelf one at a time. What a difference it will make. I don't do Facebook so I never would have seen it.

So much to learn.

Great video, do you wash your dots after firing?
@JamaisonSchuler10 күн бұрын
Yes, there is still just a tiny bit of kiln paper dust on them.

Maybe you could squish the dark ones and see if you can get a lighter colour?
@JamaisonSchuler9 күн бұрын
Yes, I bet that would work! I’ve also said that as a New Year’s resolution, I want to do more drop vessels and vases in 2025, so I think using them in a blank and then stretching them in a drop would also be a way to use them and get the value of the color within.

I'm curious how others get Bullseye opaque & dense white to full fuse into dots?? Mine tend to stay in "chiclet" shapes.
@JamaisonSchuler2 күн бұрын
We’ll see if others offer thoughts. Dense white is particularly tough.

For the violet dots, can you press them thinner and recover the color? Or, press them alltogether to make a sheet?
@JamaisonSchuler3 күн бұрын
Yes, both decent options but I’m thinking about using them in a stretch project, particular a vase or vessel where I think they will thin out nicely

Violet in 96 does the same thing...for any 96 users
